My friend couldn't find her piece of ribbon, over two feet of it! One lucky cat passed the whole thing!

Lucky it passed. After the thread surgery, all thread/yarn/cord was safely secured. Not even tinsel was allowed on the Christmas tree.

Oh my!

And I particularly like the "But where's it coming from?" comment.

Cats. When we replaced carpet or moved out furniture, T2 would run in the room and roll around in the dirt on the floor! She's a white cat. Rolling around in a pile of fine dirt. Then she'd track it all over the place. Sheesh. I can only imagine the horror of having glitter substituted for dirt.

I've worried about this one a time or two. T2 hasn't gotten in the dryer, yet. I don't think she will, she mostly gets into wardrobes, cabinets and closets. And yeah, she's spent a day or a night inside a closed one. And no, that doesn't stop her.

Oh no. We had an outside cat (Freddy) once eat the red plastic that's wrapped around bologna - don't know how he got a hold of it, but he did pass it. Gah, it was freaky.

I'd probably nickname your cat "Evil Knievel" (after the daredevil). He sure is making use of his nine lives. Kind of what we said about Freddy.

What?!! I just googled yupo. Synthetic (synthetic!) paper?? Everything eco-Oregon lumber inside me is yelling. What price art??

Pass. I’ll stick with glossy.

All of these cat stories make me a bit grateful that I don't have pets. I make enough of a mess in my craft room on my own!

Speaking of which, I still haven't cleaned up in preparation for Falliday Fest. I volunteer for a ladies group, and it has turned into a bit of a headache. I am an officer, and my term has one more year. Ugh. It has zapped much of my mojo. Tomorrow I have a regional meeting, so I need to gather my stuff. Once that mtg is over, I should be better... I do see a light at the end of the tunnel. (Maybe it's GLITTER!)

My dear hubby had surgery last week to blast a big kidney stone and scoop out the pieces. He is still in pain. But I think he'll be asleep in his recliner soon, so I am going to dig into my space. Should be a good day!

Linda, I got my yupo paper at michaels . it was $9.99 but I used a 50% coupon. It is a totally different feel to it and works wonders with alcohol inks.

I got a large sheet of Yupo at my Dick Blick store (brick and mortar store)...I wanted to try it and didn't want to pay a lot for a tablet of sheets. I don't rmember how much the sheet was but it was much cheaper than the tablet.

I'm not sure what junk mail you're talking about but it's not like any junk mail I get It's a very unique synthetic paper. Not like vellum and not like plastic.

I love yupo! Unlike anything I've ever used before.

Brenda, if you want to pm me your address, I'd be glad to send you a piece so you can see what you think. I'm in the dentist office at the moment while son has major, sedated dental work, but I could get it in today's mail when we get home.

Thanks. I've got to rein in my reactivity, I guess-- keep an open mind. I'll confess; however, I'm partial to the wood products industries. The little bit of synthetics that get used in the card (or project) isn't going to kill the planet. Isn't that a rationalization? Eh! Too early in the morning for profound reflection!

Coffee (free sourced, locally distributed) please.

Oh this made me smile - I think I have glitter in every drawer, including ones that aren't craft drawers! Even my husband has mistakenly opened a 'container' thinking it was empty and POOF! He looks like a fairy god-father I'm so glad I married a man with a sense of humor

I agree! The Yupo sounds really interesting. Excited, as the that order arrived yesterday, along with some new Tim Holtz reinkers in new-to-me colors.

We have a LOVELY cat cafe here - I took my guests there after my recent retreat - the animals are all rescues to be adopted, and your purchases help fund their care. The animals that were there when we were there were Hurricane Harvey rescues.

It was seriously one of the most awesome experiences I've ever had. Try it!

People yes, give me babies and children 10-years old, and older folks...yep...I could invest time in them...and that would be a fabulous experience to me!

I'm thinking, really? Really, people will pay for this?
ABSOLUTELY!!! I am elated that this is coming to my area. I had the great fortune to visit a cat cafe in Austin recently and felt so fortunate to be able to contribute to the costs to love and care for kitties - some who were abandoned during the recent hurricane. It's a great way to get to enjoy a cup of coffee while supporting a wonderful cause.

Such wonderful stories. I have to go to Michaels today to find Yupo paper. I have used glossy but would love to try the Yupo.

All the cat stories. I think I have a good one. I have 2 cats. I love to quilt. I was quilting one day and dropped my work to fix dinner. Came back to project and no need. My cat had ate need and thread. VERY expensive trip to the vet. But they were able to get it out pretty easily. He still has a fascination for thread. I am more careful now.
