So, for the YETI thread... it seems to want to only let me do 12 links, at card 13 it will not paste the link nor give me the option to post anymore links to my post I am still building.

okay if anyone else is still working on a list, that go advanced mode and copy your link to the add a link button ( the one that looks like a globe with a couple of chains linked on the bottom right of the button) that worked for me.

Whew, major shopping trip accomplished and my son is unloading the van for me! No inky time yet today and I have a couple of ideas brewing from checking the challenge this morning and looking in my favorites again. Definitely some CASE-worthy cards in there!

My Yeti status list is in and I have several favorites from my creations for Falliday Fest, but hands down, this is number 1.

Thank you to all the hostesses for a Fabulous Falliday experience! Thank you to all the helpful people who got me through my tech challenge last night. I did set my list up in the messaging module, and kept resending it to myself to check. It was good I did that, because I did have a couple of bad links. Thank you to AnneForte for the easy copy list. But now I can breathe, make a few cards for the Card Drives and package them up, and maybe do laundry, pay bills, rake leaves, etc.!

Happy Weekend to all.

Question...

I want to purchase gel press...I used one of these at Rubber Stamp Events this past July. I thought it required special inks which I don't have nor desire to purchase...then I watched this...

[ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5j7Eg2TCLZE&list=UUjPsDt6Opmm1r2OGrboVojg& index=13[/ame]

and I decided I now "need" a gel press!

Is there a difference in Gel Press pads? The one I used was rubbery looking and not appealing to me...this one in the video is clear and is more appealing to me.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, I need help in spending some money!!!!

Wonder if I could use inks with my Geli plate? Never thought of doing this.

Great video Faye, but that's basically gelli printing with inks instead of acrylic paints. I have a 6x6 gelli plate and the Misti so I can play with this idea! Thanks for linking Lydia's video.

I have a gel press, and rarely use it. I've had more success with a sheet of 1/4 inch acrylic.

Thanks, Faye, for the reminder that we can use ink with the gel press! And the idea of using it in the stamping tool seems so much more convenient.

I always wondered what a gel Press was for. Now I think I need to add one to my already-overflowing craft area.

Kandie, you need to put one on your list for Santa... you can do all kinds of impressions or textures and lift the print... ( fun and addictive) ( I have piles of them in the file cabinets sorted by colors)

Oh, and and open offer if any of you DO get one and want to try DELI sheets ( its one of those things they say works cool with a gel press) I bought a bunch of shrink warped boxes of the stuff at costco... ( I will never in my lifetime use all this up) so send me a PM if you want some sheets to play with.

the only sad part about buying it like that is it is folded in the box, so the papers do have a crease in them and so...

You might try using a warm iron and "decrease" it that way...I have used it on many types of paper with success...however the deli papers are creased by machine and may be totally different aspect.

I have so much fun when I pull mine out. I make lots of bg's and also diecut or use strips or cut letters from the prints. There are all sorts of sizes and shapes now too. I mainly use acrylics and stencils but leaves, yarn, feathers etc look cool too. Lydia did a tutorial on the basics of gel printing.

Happy to say I finished moving stamps over the weekend. All my stamps but two SU sets (Serengeti and wild Wild West) now in the boxes SU has been selling. I was surprised to see that my collection is about 60/40 woodmount over cling.(no breakdown on rubber cling or polypropylene). So anyway.....though I always have purchased additional clamshell boxes in every size available, I now have way to many. I use them to store seasonal bits and pieces that can be used for cards the next year, stockpile of die cuts with each die cut in its own personal clamshell and labeled, embossing powders--each color with a spoon in the clam shell ready to go.....generally I don't have to use the trays sold for catching the excess powder as I just spoon over the clamshell and it all goes back in ---usually LOL! Then I also carry one of the medium/large ones with me to card classes so the cards I make go into it ASAP as done to prevent me leaving it behind or spilling something on it. I also make embossing folder backgrounds ahead and store them in clamshells. Stenciled backgrounds the same....If anyone could use some of my stash, I would ship it too you no charge for the clamshells but reimbursement on the shipping would be appreciated. Let me know. Mostly I have the small, medium and large sizes SU sold.....I laughingly refer to them as 4 stamp, 6-7 stamps, and 8 -10 stamps sizes........

When does the party start? LOL! Though I won't be able to play much...I started my kids on screen free days and so I can't get on my iPad at all when they are around. That creates immediate invitation to get on!! Today is our first day and it's exceeding my expectations...they are doing great. They've asked for it a few times, but when I've said no, they've moved on! Yay!!! I actually am enjoying it too...I can still get on my phone a bit, so it doesn't feel like total isolation for me but I can't post on here or anything b/c it keeps logging me out!

I got a little bit done outside but I am so behind. I had a major headache this morning (though I squeezed in some inky time anyway) and then had school to do with the kiddos after I napped to get the headache down to a dull roar. I did a liitle yard work after I took them to practice but then had to get supper made and walk the dog. Hopefully it will be sunny again tomorrow.

I made one first to try it out before making a purchase. Luckily we have Amish country stores around with bulk gelatin because that stuff is pricy! It is a lot of fun.

How did you make it?

Morning! Sure hope there aren't major headaches happening for the powers that be regrading our party to be.

Beautiful sunrise this morning! Love the lighter mornings so I can squeeze in a quick walk before everyone heads out to work and school!
