I miss the chat already too. You asked about the Elegant Writer pens on my peacock page. I used my fine point black, lots of blue and some green. I posted pics on my fb page. I have used my larger blacks when I wanted more of the blue green color. I have a blog post showing some freehand as well as stenciled work. The amount of ink/shading you want will guide how you draw your lines. When I know I want to pull out a lot of color I use the whole edge for a thick line but for smaller areas I add fine lines and don't necessarily go around the whole area.

I think I completed the form right after I won but, having moved over the last several days, I'm no longer sure of anything!

Thanks Kathy....It has been easier(?) than I thought but not much fun.....and when I lost my sense of smell sometime in October---it really became not fun....but I will continue...hoping to be able to go meds free with this type 2 Diabetes is a powerful incentive to eat and exercise.

DVDs. I have at least a dozen so I can switch them out so as not to get bored. To be truthful I haven't used them in a while due to pain issues but I hope to get back into it. They really helped shape me up, but they helped me lose weight too.

Yes, put the DVD in and walk away the pounds! Four basic steps used so not hard and I pick the DVDs that I like. Even have a kick boxing one, but very basic.

I've watched a video on youtube on reversing type 2 diabetes...basically the doctor says No GPS...no grains, no potatoes, no sugar...

I haven't succeeded with that but I have held off type 2 at this point with walking and being very aware of what I am eating...

My word for 2017 will be nutrition...physically, mentally and spiritually...answering the question...What am I feeding myself?

I plan to journal again in 2017...

One of my favorites is Two Mile Faith Wallk. I think its actually called A Closer 2 Mile Walk and is part of the wLk by faith series. I also like 5 Day Slim Down, walk your belly flat, and 5 mile fat burning walk. I like that you can do all five miles or stop wherever you want. And I counted and I do have a dozen.

I need to get back on track. My dog isn't able to walk as far as before and and my eating has gone out of control. I would like to lose 25 pounds. I like the DVD idea as we head into winter. I had a good stretch where I exercised with the Wii until our board broke. I actually found a brand new one and then haven't gotten back into the habit. Amazing how easy it is to fall out of a habit and how very difficult to get back into one!

go to our zoo or other walking sites.....do at least 30 minutes of rapid pace walking while saying good morning to the animals..... I generally go to the zoo as 1. I volunteer as a docent there so I enjoy being there. 2. No traffic fumes to breathe in as while walking due to walk in entrance is free, but vehicular entrance is $10.
Then later in the day I put in 30 minutes on my recumbent exercise bike which is also good for my knees (which have both been replaced.)
If I still can stand upright, at the end of the day I do some stretching and strengthing exercises.

And of course,,,,aim for 7 units of carb each day....and for me----any potatoes or bread send numbers sky high so I avoid as much as possible.

Could it include those who are trying to avoid diabetes diagnosis?

I think a group would be awesome. I had Gestational Diabetes with my last baby last year and I've been redoing our diets the last week or so, striving for less grains, dairy and sugar! I do get my daily exercise am seeking to amp it up a bit, but it's hard with two little ones with no structure!!! I love healthy inpspiratioin! I want to make some GF shortbread today. It's not sugar free, but actually only has 1/4 cup of maple syrup in it so I'm anxious to give it a try.

I shy away from starting groups/threads myself b/c I 'm not a leader!!

I love the idea of a support thread. A few years ago our Seminary Wives group did a challenge similar to The Biggest Loser and between the support and the accountability it is the time I had the best success in weight loss.

Oooh, and we could have a recipe box too! And send each other cards of encouragement and support!
