The Dentritic and Yarn Block backgrounds were my favorites. It is such a fun effect - super cool.

Question #1 Which technique that you learned during Falliday Fest is sure to be a technique that you will use again? Answers can include more than one!
My favorite was the dendritic technique! Soooooooo easy with very cool results. I don't have many acrylic paints, but that's gonna change! LOL

I also loved the yarn stamping... I never would have thought of that on my own.

I bought my first alcohol ink markers (Spectrum Noir) and did the marbling technique...loved that one too!

I never got around to the pull-out card, but I am definitely going to try it very soon. It looks like the kind of fancy fold I could handle.

Overall, this was an amazing event! I completed 14 challenges & 1 tutorial (a bit shy of my goal) but made 60 cards!! There are several challenges I may still try to complete before Thanksgiving to keep my mojo going. I have ideas on the spreadsheet for Christmas cards that I still need, and I know several Veterans who could use a patriotic thank you next week.

I also plan to do some gallery gazing tonight. I am very grateful for the comments I have received...time to pay it forward!

Boy that would be a horse race!

I'd say a tie between dendritic and yarn blocking!

I loved it all!!! I think any of the techniques making backgrounds were my favorites, especially dendritic, yarn blocking, and water coloring. I believe daily challenges have become part of my daily routine. Retirement is wonderful I have so many ways to spend my money and fill up my time. Thanks for adding to it!

I went pretty heavy on the paint with the Dendritic so wound up with 3 papers printed! I have diecut some and used them already on other cards! The first didn't have much of the Dendritic pattern because of the abundance of paint. I just took my Mason Jar with its topper to a lady from our church recuperating from hip surgery. Can't wait to make more!

Popping in to thank all the hostesses for their creativity and inspiration. A big thank you for your time both in creating the challenges and commenting on cards. You are marvelous!

Also amazing are those of you taking extra time to comment on cards. I worked up to the wire and am finally starting to look through the amazing gallery. So many talented artists play here. I love this community!!

To Gail's question. I love the Two Tier Eclipse. I'm still working on mastering the dendritic and watercolor splash.

It finally settled which one I love the best, masking. It's so simple and yet can be so stunning. I just saw FF17TexasGrammy Masked by Kelly H at Splitcoaststampers that jogged my memory of this fun and stunning technique.

Gail, although I thoroughly love anything to do with watercolor, or even alcohol inks, for a background, I have to choose the dendritic challenge. I'd never seen anything like it and it was magic to pull it apart and watch the tendrils form.

Masking is like magic and really just ink and paper! It can be used in so many different ways too. Your FF17TexasGrammy You Make Me Smile by luvtostampstampstamp at Splitcoaststampers was super cute!

My favorite part of falliday is the tutorials! And some of the regular challenges were really tutorials for me too since I've never tried them before (dendritic for instance).

Stopping by to say a BIG THANKS to all the hostesses and moderators and behind the scenes folks (you know who you are ) for making this such a fun couple of weeks. Congrats to all the Yetis and good luck to all in the prize category! I just counted my cards and I finished 19 cards and 2 tutorials. I love the dendritic technique and the yarn bg..so easy and fun! And I have leftovers from those . I did like the two tier tutorial, too...once I found which of my dies might work for that. I need to go back and look at more of the cards..I have been checking out the Pinterest boards...fun!

My very favorite part was the tutorials! I made two turkeys and two luminaries! Always started each morning with the tutorials,! Thanks for all your work as well as the help you had with the two weeks of fun! It was so much fun! Sent ten cards to each of the non-profits and felt each one was fantastic! Loved all the things I learned! New backgrounds from our fabulous women! Thanks to everyone involved!

I thought that was very approachable and her sample so pretty. I printed off 5 but am so tired today that that was as far as I got.

I enjoyed them too, even though I was a bit hesitant on some. What it did for me, though, was make me not afraid to do the weekly tutorials on Wednesday. I didn’t feel good today, only got one card done, but I’m looking forward to doing it, or maybe several, tomorrow. I’m already thinking nice gifts for people, maybe with family birthdays circled.

Default Hi!

A very HUGE Thank You to all of the hostesses and behind the scenes work for this fun Falliday Festival! It was a stretch to find so much time to create, but so fun!

I love techniques, but have to admit, I liked just plain stamping and coloring as well. I challenged myself to use older OR unused stamps (I am the only one that has alot of those, right?) for the challenges. That said, I LOVE the cute Turkeys- made 3 of them and will make more before Thanksgiving probably.... : ) Loved the Dendritic was fun and I loved the effect of it. Also, the yarn stamping and the sanded background.

I have to get to the galleries and comment- so many beautiful cards. I really enjoyed doing the daily challenges as well. Thanks to all of the daily challenges hostesses.

Back to the Astros vs Dodgers!

I loved the background techniques, the dendritic technique was cool and fun. Ha, that's the card I didn't post in time. I want to experiment with different color combos and surfaces like she had done. The alcohol ink techniques were a great refresher with some new ones for me. I have a large stash of bottles I haven't used in years so it was good to play with them. The yarn block technique was creative and fun. I look forward to trying the others I haven't gotten to yet. I always like the combo of challenges that are offered - theme, color, technique, even cleanup (use leftovers or scraps).

I have to agree that FF17TUTORIAL3 Rosette Turkey by mcschmidty at Splitcoaststampers are perfectly cute and definitely worth making more! I am always happy to pull out older and or unused stamps to meet challenges too.

Awesome challenges! A huge thanks to all the people working on this to help make it easy for the rest of us!!! I don't know that I've figured out a favorite yet. Still getting over brain death from the marathon of card-making (interrupted by an emergency plumbing job I had to do) over this past weekend! I hope to get more commenting done in the upcoming days.

I have a large stash of bottles I haven't used in years so it was good to play with them. The yarn block technique was creative and fun. I look forward to trying the others I haven't gotten to yet. I always like the combo of challenges that are offered - theme, color, technique, even cleanup (use leftovers or scraps).
You made some lovely cards! I especially loved FF17ANNSFORTE3 Happy penguin storm by patiak at Splitcoaststampers for Ann's challenge with your cute sliding penguins!

Horror story. I was going through my gallery, getting my Yeti list ready. And I discovered that I missed posting ONE card!!! I know I made it, but apparently neglected to upload it. I had been marking off my projects on the spreadsheet that Lydia so graciously provided, and marked that off as done. But it's not in my gallery! I worked so hard, and now can't get Yeti status. 😭

I have dreams of that happening to me. I must have checked my cards about five times before the deadline just for that reason!

At this rate, with all of us lurking, when yeti opens, SCS will crash from overload!

I made a spreadsheet with my grandsons help and I think I made my arm sore from checking it so many times. Thought earlier I would check again. But thought it is what it is!

Kathy, I laughed at your comment. I’ve been looking all day.
Had a good time participating.
Thanks to all the ladies that made this possible!
