I am committed to memorizing more of God's Word this year. I am going to make it happen. To keep me on track, a few of my girlfriends and I are committed to sharing an on-going project all year. Would you share the journey with us?
We'll each create an on-going altered journal, rolodex card, scrapbook page, ATC or recipe card project... Each month we will choose a verse and get to stamping. We'll add that piece to our collection. We are going to work on the 8th of each month, at the end of the year, we'll have a wonderful keepsake to inspire or gift to give.
a few items of housekeeping
1. Must have a Bible verse printed, stamped, hand-written or computer generated as a focus of your project.
2. Upload with the scripture reference as your project title (i.e. John 1:14)
3. Use the Bible Verse Challenge keyword: BVC08 (same keyword all year) - While I do appreciate all kinds of inspirational messages, poems and quotes, for the purpose of this challenge, please respect the scripture reference guideline. Do not use this keyword if you have not used a Biblical scripture on your project.
4. No vendor restrictions.
**Post a link to your project so I can ooh and ahh! If you have questions, let me know. I am sure I'll miss a few things as this is my first attempt as a challenge hostess. However, feeble, I hope that God is glorified.
What a wonderful challenge! I will definitely be subscribing to this thread and may even start creating something of my own each month!
Thank You!

I think this is an excellent idea. I didn't read close enough the first time before I made my card, but I will turn it into something that can go onto a ring or something. Thanks for sharing this wonderful new challenge for us.

This is such a great challenge! Thanks for starting this - I hope I can work on one this weekend. In the meantime, I love what all the rest of you have done and are really inspired and encouraged!
Thank you so much for starting this challenge! I love everyone's entries, and look forward to the awesome inspiration we will all receive, both spiritually and creatively. Here is mine:
Lori, what a great challenge. I am interested in joining and will catch up on January by the end of the month and then join everyone on the 8th of each month.
Last year I set the goal to read the bible all the way through and just about made it. Will continue that goal this year and this challenge will be the perfect compliment to that.
Bless you.

I just started a blog...i feel like such a big girl...haha! I am going to try and put a card on it tonight.
oh my...so we are not "sending" anything anywhere...we are just making a card as described in first original starting post here...and keeping it for ourselves and putting it here for you all to see, right?
I want to jump in if that is the case...and I will be making a "make-up" card for the January 8th...
Then I will be on-track in Feb. (can I do that?)
Subscribing!!!
Thanks!
Teena
PS--Lori, great idea, thank you!!! I'm going to send a link to this thread to a friend of mine...
I am so excited to work on this challenge! I meet with a group of ladies every week for our bible study and think that I will make them something also. We are studying the Bad Girls of the Bible (a great study!) and every couple of weeks we study a different "Bad Girl". Next week will be Delilah. She is such a "bad" girl!
I think this is a wonderful project! Hope to get something done today with the kids home from school!
Okay... here is my posting for January! (I am ready with my Feb posting!) Bible Verse Challenge BVC08 by Meema at Splitcoaststampers
I am SO *inspired* by this challenge. Have decided to make 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 pages to make an album some day!
Thank you, Lori Craig for starting this!
** each person decides what type of on-going project they want for themselves - a recipe file, a 6x6 album, an ATC collection, a tin full of cards, etc.
**each month you will create a new one with a different Bible verse of your choice to add to your collection and at some point you may want to also decorate the container and show us.
**upload a photo of your creation to the SCS gallery on the 8th of each month. It's ok to join any time and play catch up if you like. You can also upload on any other day if you happen to miss uploading on the 8th. Remember to use the keyword and also please post a link to this thread in your gallery description inviting others to play as well.
**if you have a blog, of course upload there as well and invite people to join us by providing a link to this thread.
**once you have posted in the gallery come back to this thread and post a link for all of us to go take a look.
**at the end of the year you may choose to keep your collection or give it as a gift. I'm betting a lot of us will wish we made 2 or 3 simultaneously so we'd have 1 to keep and 1 or 2 to give.
HTH. Let us know if you have any more questions or if I missed answering something.
I am subscribing to this too. I am going to try to do this with you all. I just need to figure out how I want to "journal" them or whatever else to do with each verse.
