Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge 09
Many of you played along with the Divine Design 08 Bible Verse Challenge! Lori Craig got this new challenge started in 08 and we're ready to kick off another year of Scripture based projects in 09!! Lori has asked Angel Wilde & I to co-host this challenge for 09 and we're honored to have the opportunity to take on that role. We apologize for the late notice in getting things started, we've had some family commitments that have kept us occupied until this week. My monthly project for Divine Design 09 will be a bookmark. I'm keeping it nice & simple ! Last year I made a card each month and now I have a wonderful collection of scripture based cards to send to family & friends. Some of the girls did calendars, scrapbook pages, journals...whatever works for you. There are a lot of great scripture stamps out there, but if you don't have any, don't let that stop you. You can print scriptures from your computer! This challenge is a great tool to help you with memorizing & meditating on God's Word. You can join anytime and I hope you will. The guidelines are simple:
1. Must have a Bible verse printed, stamped, hand-written or computer generated as a focus of your project.
2. Upload with the scripture reference as your project title (i.e. John 1:14)
3. Use the Bible Verse Challenge keyword: BVC09 (same keyword all year) - While I do appreciate all kinds of inspirational messages, poems and quotes, for the purpose of this challenge, please respect the scripture reference guideline. Do not use this keyword if you have not used a Biblical scripture on your project.
4. No vendor restrictions.
5. The goal will be to post our projects on the 9th of each month but you can post anytime that's convenient for you.
I look forward to seeing all the great projects in the BVC09 gallery! Please feel free to PM myself or Angel is you have any questions!
Blessings & Hugs,
Nancy & Angel

Hi Nancy... Glad to meet you. I'm subscribing just so I can view all the wonderful work. I'm still working on Patter Cross' Challenge for 2008.
Oh! I'm the first reply.... that hardly ever happens!
BTW, If you are doing bookmarks, you might like to join this swap

I would love to join! My New Year's resolution for this year is to read the entire bible. So far I'm actually ahead! This would be perfect to help inspire me to reach my goal. I will look for inspirational verses while I read. I hope I can get enough stamping time to make the deadlines. I may be a little late on some of them. Thank you for doing this. I can't wait to get started. I think I'll do cards - and bookmarks would be a great gift idea to go with them! Thanks for the inspiration!

I have been subscribed to the last few weeks of last year's challenge and am so glad to start on this year on time! I like the cards hanging in the wooden rack holder idea so I might just do that. Thanks for stepping on board and hosting!

Nancy and Angel thanks for taking this on. I truly loved making and seeing what others made and were inspired by. Sometimes you find verses you've not seen before which enables you to continue to grow in the Lord. Bless you for taking this on in the midst of your family commitments.

I just adore Nancy and Angel - Nancy and I had the opportunity to meet in Portland in 2007. She's just a doll, and we've been email buddies since then. Angel and I have been friends for 7 years - 7 years... thru stamping. The LORD has blessed me with wonderful friends and sisters thru this little ole hobby. I'm excited for the new year!
Thank you, Nancy and Angel!

Hello everyone. It is such a blessing to see Jesus loving stampers wanting to share scripture by doing what they love to do... a talent God has blessed them with. It IS all about Him after all, isn't it?
I am so honored to be co-hosting the BVC09 challenge with Nancy Morgan this year.
The "Scripture Chicks" this year who will (time allowing) post simultaneously on the 9th of every month include Nancy and myself and 3 other Jesus loving women I'd like to introduce you to!
Lori Craig who listened to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and began this venture joins us again this year. She is a Splitcoast Team member and also has a lovely gallery as Stamp_Momma. Her blog is appropriately titled "Make a Difference". Having known Lori seven years I can tell you she is the REAL DEAL, a forever friend who's always there. Yes, she LOVES Jesus!
Taylor VanBruggen of the blog Taylored Expressions and on SCS as tayloredexpressions is joining us again this year. She began Taylored Expressions Stamps this last year and is a very busy, very talented lady. It blesses me that she is making a commitment to BVC09 and I know it blesses God as well!
Jami Sibley (More is More and on SCS as Jami) leaves us this year although she still plans to play along as her time allows. We will miss her so much that we've decided to pick up another Jami. Let me introduce Jami Bova to you. Jami's blog is Stamp Happy and on SCS she is known as Sgt Stamper. She is uber talented and has a huge heart for Jesus.
This is our first time hosting a challenge for both Nancy and myself and I hope you'll be patient with us as we learn the ropes. I am so looking forward to seeing all of the BVC09 creations!
God Bless!

I made this in November after being inspired by finding the 2008 challenge (but way too late to do the year). I hope you don't mind me sharing but it is an idea someone might want to do! You could make a scripture a week to put in this and not do it all at once. It is on my blog and this is a direct link. Each one is a scripture verse.

In case anyone else wants to read through the Bible, here is an easy list to follow. Just print it and put it in the Bible you will be using.
What I liked was that the days are just numbered (1 to 365) rather than dated. You can start at any time rather than January 1st. And if I got behind once in a while, it didn't worry me.
It's been a few years. Maybe I'll start again.

Thank you for this study guide! I have a One Year Bible, but it skips all around and is confusing me! I think I'd rather use this one!

Hello. I have a question -- would it be okay to participate using digital scrapbooking layouts? I don't paper scrap very often, and I often make digital layouts that are the size of my computer screen, and set them as my computer background. It works well for me, anyway.

Thank you so much for having this challenge!
While this is my very first faith based effort it is my goal to now make this type of card my priority in stamping.
I have high hopes that finally I will be able to use this gift God has given me and all the supplies he has blessed me with for His glory.
I have volunteered to teach stamping at a church class once a month and it will be so great to have all your inspiration to help! We really need to up the fellowship factor and I am hoping this will be a start.
Also, I am thinking that throughout the year I can gather cards I have made and donate as a gift basket for a church auction we have for our Youth Group. Pray for my success
So....tada...........Here is my very first card...simple as it is..LOL
I am so blown away by the talent! Thanks for looking
Love and blessings Francine

Francine... welcome to the challenge! What a wonderful idea to save up the cards for a gift basket.
I can't see your card yet as the image is still pending, but I noticed that you did not have BVC09 in your keywords.
By adding BVC09 to the keywords, it will show up in the gallery for this challenge. Thanks!!

I was SO HAPPY to see that this challenge will continue throughout 2009. I'm hoping to play each month this year. I started a Scripture Box with index cards last year but didn't get it completed, so that is one goal of mine -- to fill up that box -- but I like to do cards, too -- so I'll work on some cards as well! Here's my first:

Here is my first upload for this challenge: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=35912 It is a rolodex card, which I made for a swap I am in. I want to continue making more cards during the year, so I thought this would be a great challenge to participate in.
