I heard in a video (somewhere?) that they could be used without bleed-through, and it worked really well!
I wanted to give the impression of water, mountains and a little bit of dark sky to go along with the scripture there. A misty kind of look, not distinct.
Probably looks very basic and boring to everyone LOL but i like it because i was still able to write notes on the side and i believe it will also be a good visual reference for when i am trying to find this scripture again some day

I like the idea of making the background but still being able to read the scripture...and no prep to the paper for distress inks! Win...
I have yet to do another page but the Bible is still within arms reach of my stamping table...

Helen, Adriana and Jeanette- love all of your pages!!
Thanks Sharon! My hubby, Dave has been diagnosed with bladder cancer (again- he just had a tumor removed in April 2018 and went thru chemo) and had surgery this past Tuesday with his first chemo yesterday. Sorry I have not been too active on this forum (or any other) since I have been away from my computer and trying to finish up my craft room organization.
I am still trying to organize in a manner that I can journal easily and on a routine basis. I have made some progress but still have a way to go- lol!!
Hugs to all of you and I hope you have a blessed week/weekend!!

Here is a page I did this afternoon.
https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/g...0&ppuser=31342
I did prep the page and the distress ink did bleed through.

Julie - Prayers for you and your hubby. ((hugs, too))
Faye - I'm so sorry about the ink bleed-through. I'm the one who recommended it earlier I wonder if the difference is blending on versus stamping? Different amount of ink? I'm so sorry...

I purchased some inexpensive makeup brushes (cheap version of the Picket Fence ones) and gave them a try last night on a card front. Cut it in half to make two narrow strips with the thought that they could either be bookmarks or I could attach them with washi tape to the appropriate pages. But I may leave the "victory" one in my face for a while longer in case I start to forget

Adriana that looks like a great idea to add to your journal. Is it on regular SU cardstock or did you use a thinner brand?

Wow - so many great pages. Adriana, those book marks are awesome! Love everyone's creations (Jeanette - you have been so busy and those journal pages are really special) and ideas and focus on God's word. Julie, I am praying for you and your sweet hubby. I so need to get in my craft room and organize - I wish I loved to do it but I don't. I love messing it up more evidently - lol!
We had no internet for the last few days so I did 6 BAJ pages.
Faye, I have inks and paint bleed through from time to time - seems to be a function of how much ink I use, pressure, and wetness. I use it as as challenge to myself to figure how how to incorporate the bleed through into the next page. I find some of my favorite pages are the ones I had to cover up something that bled through. I hate page prep - I am one LAZY crafter.

Jeanette's Wisdom BAJ
I loved this month's theme! I chose to journal Job 12:12-13, and was glad to be journaling in the book of Job because 2 weeks from today I will begin facilitating a Bible study of Job in Facebook Live for Illinois Baptist women. I am a nervous wreck! Please pray for me!!!
My Wisdom page is in the gallery now... HERE.
It's also on my blog.
Or you can see it here...
