Here is my King Card - I took a little liberty and used a verse with the word Kingdom but it just spoke to me so strongly I had to use it! I love the message that God - the King - is within each of us - it's not something we are going to find somewhere else.....
we already have it!

Here is my 6x6 HOLY page. I saw a stained glass window with this shape and it spoke of His perfect holiness to me. I chose Isaiah29:19 for the verse. May the Lord increase your joy this Resurrection Sunday.

God put it on my heart this morning to post this challenge early. This post is so appropriate for Easter today, and I pray that you rejoice in Him today! He has Risen! He has Risen Indeed!

Challenge Word 8: Lamb
God’s Attribute: Jesus is the Lamb of God (Amnos Tou Theou) or Lamb (Amnos). He voluntarily gave up His life so that we might have eternal life.

How does this affect my daily life? God requires a blood sacrifice to make atonement for sin (to reconcile God to man) for the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) Not just physical death but spiritual death and lost fellowship with God. Even as far back as Adam and Eve, we see the sacrifice of an animal to clothe them for their sin. (Genesis 3:21) A Bible Study Fellowship lesson this year put this in such an amazing way:

Salvation requires the shedding of blood.
*One lamb for one person (Adam and Eve, Genesis 3:21)
*One lamb for one family (at the time of Passover, one lamb could stand for one family, Exodus 12:3)
*One lamb for a nation (at the Day of Atonement at Sinai, Leviticus 16:34)
*One lamb for the world (blood of Jesus alone atones for all; no salvation apart from Him, John 1:29).

We no longer have to repeat the Old Testament sacrifices to atone for our sin because Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. His blood was shed for me, for you, for all.

I shared the following in my Scripture Challenge last year. It was so wonderful and such a visual for me that I think it is appropriate to share it here also. Max Lucado in his book “He Chose the Nails” said:

“Between His hand and the wood there was a list: our mistakes, our lusts and lies and greedy moments. A list of our sins. The list God has made, however, cannot be read. The mistakes are covered. The sins are hidden. Those at the top are hidden by His hand; those down the list are covered by His blood . . . What kept Him from resisting? He knew the price of those sins was death. He knew the source of those sins was you, and since He couldn’t bear the thought of eternity without you, He chose the nails. Jesus Himself chose the nails.”

Jesus was not a victim. He was the Lamb without blemish that willingly gave up His life and His spirit on the cross for you and for me. (John 19:30) God the Creator came to earth as a Son, lived a blameless life, and became the Lamb that shed His blood so that our sins might be forgiven, and we can live and have eternal fellowship with Him. What an amazing gift He has given us! Have you accepted that gift? If not, will you do that today? Feel free to PM me with questions. And if you have accepted His gift, will you thank Him for His sacrifice for you? Will you live for Him daily so that others might also receive the gift?

You can see my page for this week here. And the scripture I chose was:
John 1:29 ". . . Look the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!"

Remember to use the Keyword HHN09 when posting in the gallery! Blessings to each of you, and enjoy the rest of this Easter Sunday thanking Him for His priceless gift and His amazing love for you! In Him,

Patter-Just perfect, thank you. Our family could not get together today but we did yesterday. So I will spend the day alone actually and although I so cherish that I was hoping someone would invite me to something after church so I was kinda gloomey coming home but had the praise music blasting and then checked here and NOW I can spend the day with Him.

Chattyscrapper WELCOME, I hope you join us. To see the creations you can go to the search box and type in 'HHN09' and you look for about 20 pages, I think.

HE is Risen=Amen!!!

This morning, it made such an impact on me, Patter. I read your blog entry on my iPhone in the parking garage before church service. Such timing!

In church, the Pastor talked about the Lamb. He had a live lamb in his arms. Reassured us that this lamb wouldn't be hurt, "we aren't going to have lamb chops for dinner."
He talked about clothing Adam and Eve as your blog entry does.

There was a "life-size" door jamb on the stage.
He talked about Passover and the Angel of Death, then painted the door jamb with "blood" using "hyssop" leaves. minor note: I noticed he didn't paint the whole top of the door jamb. He explained how the Angel of Death passed over these doors because of the lambs' sacrifice.

Then what did he do? With some tweaking and attaching of hooks and screws, he changed that door jamb into a cross! Blood stains on the cross exactly where the hands/feet would be. Again talked about the Angel of Death passing over those covered by these stains.

Tied in so perfectly with your blog "lesson" this morning. Thank you, Patter.

Default Welcome & Happy Resurrection Day Everyone!

Such a blessing to read about the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world. I have been blessed by this thread this evening.
Chattyscrapper, welcome and join in, I've only done three of the names yet. I have Protector ready to put together but have been too busy to sit down the last couple weeks. I so enjoy the time spent in this study, focusing on God.

wonderful notations to consider on our "Lamb, and his sacrifice for us"
I was one of the Martha "GALS" busy with preparations this week, though was able to attend church because we had our meal for evening. So, really enjoyed reading the
study guides you gals have posted this morning, I need to get back on doing pages,
but we are still having company this week yet, after that, I have to catch up

Wow, I can relate to that! I've been thinking the last few days how I feel like I used to be a "Mary" and have turned into a "Martha" because somebody has to do the work! Lord, help me balance being and doing. Now off to steal a few moments to focus and work on a page!

Can certainly relate to the Marthas out there. It was a busy Easter weekend, but very blessed!! I think Easter is my favorite Church holiday. The Maundy Thursday service was communion, served in last supper style, then Good Friday, with the nailing of a piece of paper with our sins listed by each person in the large cross, Saturday, decorating the sanctuary for the Celebration of a RISEN saviour, and Sunday the beautiful Easter celebration. What a blessing!! Thanks Patter for making this study part of the Easter celebration!

Beautiful spring day here and eager to post my Protector page so I can get outside and clean up some branches and flower beds! Enjoy the Creator and His creation!! Anyway, it is so comforting to think of how God wants to protect us. Sometimes He does in spite of us and sometimes He uses His laws and the wisdom He gives us to keep us out of the troubles to begin with!! God bless, have a great day!

I got inspired to make the Lamb page since I am still pondering Easter. I can't even comprehend what love Jesus had for the Father and for us that He would die to bring God glory, to set things right and to save us from eternal separation from Him. Our church went through all the symbolism of the Seder (Passover) Meal this year. Amazing, look into it sometime if you get a chance.
Here is my Lamb page:

Subbing.

Been wanting to start a scripture rolodex of my own. I have a prison ministry scrap book I want to start with our clients and their testimonies in it. So much I want to "memorialize" for His glory!

I am so happy to share a page! Lamb of God. It has been so long since I've played.
