Many of you played along with the Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge in 2008 and 2009. Since I have not had any response about a 2010 thread being started, I thought I would start it this year.
This is an opportunity for you memorize Scripture each month. And to help you do so, you make any kind of paper project, with the Scripture as the focus, such as: album pages, bookmarks, cards, calendar pages, and anything else that works for you. :-)
I have been making a 6x6 Album for each year, with a month for each page. Then I have can keep going through them to refresh my memory on the Scriptures I have memorized, so as to keep them in my mind.
There are a lot of great scripture stamps out there, but if you don't have any, don't let that stop you. You can print scriptures from your computer! This challenge is a great tool to help you with memorizing & meditating on God's Word. You can join anytime and I hope you will. The guidelines are simple:
1. Must have a Bible verse printed, stamped, hand-written or computer generated as a focus of your project.
2. Upload a picture of your project to the Gallery with the scripture reference as your project title (i.e. BVC10 - John 1:14)
3. Be sure to then post in this thread what Month you have uploaded and provide a link to it in this thread. That way we can see what each other has done, and encourage one another with comments in the gallery. You might even be inspired to use one of the Scriptures you see as a future choice for yourself. :-)
4. Be sure to put BVC10 as a Keyword when you Upload, this is the Bible Verse Challenge keyword: BVC10 (same keyword all year) - While I do appreciate all kinds of inspirational messages, poems and quotes, for the purpose of this challenge, please respect the scripture reference guideline. Do not use this keyword if you have not used a Biblical scripture on your project.
5. No vendor restrictions.
6. The goal will be to post one project for each month of 2010. Try to post it no later than the end of each month (but you can still post later than that, too).
I look forward to seeing all the great projects in the BVC10 gallery! Please feel free to PM me ifI hop you have any questions!
I pray this blesses each of you, as it does me, each month.
In the past we have chosen the scripture ourselves. The idea is to pick one scripture a month that you want to memorize and create whatever you like based on that scripture. It was originally designed for those who wanted to work on scripture memorization. I don't think this has changed but I'm sure LM will clarify this for us when she is online again. I hope this helps. ;)
Yes, Stamptician is correct. You get to pick whatever Scripture you would like to memorize. This is what I particularly like about this Challenge, that we are not limited to a theme, but we can choose whatever the Lord is leading us to memorize for the month.
Stamptician, I am so glad to see you are back and are interested in this again. Welcome Beccasorge and Melissa Jax. I look to forward to seeing all your creations.

LM, thanks for doing this for 2010! Last year was my first year, and I enjoyed it. It is wonderful and inspiring to see all the beautiful verses that are used and the beautiful projects with them. I plan to play along again this year!
Hi, I am new here. God really works in mysterious ways. I was seeking inspiration to do some craft work and was lead to this site. This is awesome!
I am really inspired when I look at all the awesome projects! I would love to participate in this challenge but first...
Do I have to create something new every month? Thats means we have 12 projects all in all? Lol.. Sorry for asking too much. I am just excited...*hugs*
Hi there and welcome to SCS! You are correct...you would create a new project each month for a total of 12 projects in all. You can do whatever kind of project you prefer... card, scrapbook page, atc, etc. Just have fun with it and be blessed with God's word. ;)
Jennipher...Thanks for answering this question for me...I was away where there was NO internet access for the past few days...on the Coast celebrating my Birthday...it was gorgeous. :-)
Everyone else who posted to say they are glad to see this thread again for 2010, and plan to particpate....Yayyy, I am SO glad.
Blessings,
LM :-)

Your welcome! Happy Birthday! I figured you must have been away. I know what it's like trying to keep up with the forum sometimes. I host one of the scrapbook challenges and I'm blessed with a lot of knowledgeable SCS'ers who will answer questions for me if I don't get to them. It's very helpful. ;)
I have finally decided on a scripture to reflect upon and memorize for this month. I did not think it would take this long to decide but, as I am doing my Bible studies and devotionals I hi-light verses that really speak to me but, I also write them down in a journal. A couple of nights ago my verse just jumped out at me.
I have been down with fibromyalgia for the past few days so, I hope to get my creation uploaded soon.
Love what everyone else has done so far. ;)
Julie...thanks for sharing your January BVC10. I went to your gallery to see it and commented too. It is lovely, and wonderful choice of verse...one of my favorites too. :-)
Hi Everyone, God has been speaking to me about spending more time memorizing and meditating on His word, so this challenge is perfect for me. I am doing 6x6 pages, but I will display each month's verse on a little easel somewhere prominent for the month to help me memorize it and meditate on it. :-)
For January, I chose Psalm 62:5-8 because it speaks to me about having my hope in God, finding rest in Him and trusting Him for everything at all times. A good reminder for me. Here's the link to my page:
Sheila...Welcome to our BVC10 Challenge. I am so lad you have joined us and have the desire to memorize and meditate on God's Word. I just looked at your page and left a comment. I love the Scripture you chose, and how beautifully you displayed it.
Blessings,
LM :-)

Hi everyone...It is such a delight having you all participate.
I love that we have this thread, because not only do I get to create something each month to enable me to memorize God's Word, but I also get to share in the joy of all of everyone else's creations and chosen Scriptures for Memorization.
Here's my submission for January '10. There are two cards, but they are very similiar. The Bible verse is not one that I wanted to memorize, although I know it much better than I did before just from making these cards. It is more a verse that I wanted to share with two special people for our family. They both have their birthday in early February.
My January verse is John 3:16. Although I pretty much had it memorized already, I chose it for this month's verse, so I can meditate on it. I have been studying the Gospel of John since the Fall, and have been convicted that I need to be bolder in sharing my faith.

I just posted mine for February, I'm early for once! But I thought this verse was perfect for someone from our church who's dealing with some tough things right now.
Beautiful card Julie. What a perfect Scripture to comfort your friend who is going through a tough time! :-) LM
