Patter, I just now found this thread!! Wow! How exciting! I was aware of Lori Craig's Divine Design thingie last year, but didn't know about your Scripture Challenge/Study - wow!!! I'd love to participate in both challenges, but it will have to be "as time allows" since I already signed up for two challenges. The first one is through Beth Moore's ministry's blog: http://www.livingproofministries.blogspot.com/ It's a Scripture Memory challenge - two scriptures per month - and you post on the 1st and 15th which scripture you're going to memorize (you pick your own). I really feel that I need to hide his Word in my heart... I've never made a concerted effort to memorize Scripture - what I know is just from reading.... Then I signed up to do a Bible Reading Plan through http://operationreadbible.blogspot.com/. You do whatever plan works for you. I've always read NIV, so this year I'm reading in the ESV Study Bible, a chronological Bible-in-a-year plan. Then there are two Bible Studies I'm in - Beth Moore's "To Live Is Christ" with women at church, and Isaiah with our small group of 5 couples.
I just don't want to get in over my head and not be able to do a decent job with any of it. But SB'ing or making cards about Scripture and the Names of our Lord is very intriging - so count me in to do what I can!!

Susan, thanks for the wonderful links. And you might find that sometimes your memory verses will work for the challenges here so you can combine them! This is a "come and go" challenge. You do what you can, skip when you need to. This isn't meant to be stressful at all. It is just meant to help you in your walk with our precious Lord and get you into His Word! Have fun, and just go where the Lord leads you!
And Ramsey, so glad to have you join in!!!!! It's only two things a month so I think this will be much easier for people this year! Let me now if you have questions anytime!

If you go to my blog and look, you will see it. I just posted an update about it. Most boards allow them in your signatures. SCS does not because it is such a huge site. I have it in my signature on other sites and of course on my blog. Fun, fun!

I love it!! I wonder, is there one for the Scripture Challenge for 2009?

I have one from 2008 but I didn't design it, and I can't edit it. I will see if I can get one made for 2009. It may take me a few days but I will see what I can do. I am new at making these, and my precious dd is helping me with the code. Thank goodness for smart 14 year olds!

Well, I am in for the Names Challenge! I did a Bible study on this years ago and loved it. Since I am such an ATC fan, I am going with that. I love how yours from last year turned out, Patter!
Got my cards, holder, blinkie, and I am ready!
Okay, we have a blinkie! Go to my blog, scroll down until you see it on the left hand side. The code is there for you to copy. You can paste and use it wherever you wish!
I have you to blame .... started a teeny tiny blog just so I could use your blinkie. Question, can you design one that doesn't blink?

Oooh, so excited you started a blog! And yes, I can create one that doesn't blink but it might take me a while. My plate is really, really full. :o
And Judy, glad to have you join us! I am sure your ATC will be amazing at the end of the year!
Now time for more updates!!
First, you asked, so I created a Scripture Challenge blinkie this morning (all on my own while my dd was sleeping). LOL! For those of you that are going to try to do that challenge, just visit my blog, scroll down until you see it! The code is there for you!
There is also an update about the His Holy Name Challenge. It is a study link that will help you find things this year. You can find it here.
And lastly, we have to change one of our keywords. I searched and searched when I created them to make sure they weren't in use but I just got a message that one was. Darn! So, the Scripture Challenge keyword will be changed to SCRC209. I will update in all places posted!
Let me know if you have any more questions. Just two days until your first study! Yeah!

I really need to use up lots of supplies and downsize; and I really
like this challenge to get me back into fellowship with the Lord
and where my priorities should be, thanks for organizing it

Oh y'all are too sweet! It all comes from Him! He leads me for sure!
I used to post the Scripture Challenge around 5 p.m. each Sunday. I was thinking that is what I would do with this also. The time helps me if I get swamped or behind. Can y'all wait until 5 p.m. each Sunday with the understanding that I will post earlier in the day when I can? Let me know your true thoughts. I can take it!

Our church is not real close to our house (long story involving a job move 4+ years ago) .... so we leave early on Sunday mornings - and don't get home until after Youth Music Group practice around 9:00 p.m. I may not even get to check things until Monday. What is our time frame for completing the challenges?
What is our time frame for completing the challenges?
There is no time frame for completing these. This is for you! You do what you can and enjoy!
And glad Sunday evenings are okay for everyone. I will post early when I can though! I have this week's done and ready because I am excited too. So, you may find it posted earlier tomorrow! Hint, hint!
