DESCRIPTION: Making Cards for Our Troops began at a luncheon of retired ladies who used to work together in Annapolis, MD. One of the ladies always did a great deal of charity work for our military. She told us what was needed in care packages and also that they loved to receive cards. The group decided to make cards that the military members could send back to their loved ones and friends since they couldn’t buy cards on the bases where they were deployed. The original group of six volunteers has grown through the years. Last year they sent 73,650 cards to military bases in the continental USA and overseas. So far 2026 is well underway in terms of card making and our numbers are looking very good.

They also need funds to send the cards. If you can help in any way, you may contact them at cardsfortroops2398@gmail.com. They are a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Annapolis, MD and all of the money they receive goes to support their program. Donations are tax deductible and no one on their team of volunteers is paid.
