Hi all! I haven't been on SCS for such a long time. I have missed you all!

We are still trying to sell the house and I still haven't found a job yet. Life is in a holding pattern right now. (Sigh).

I hope all is well with everyone! Again.....I miss you....and I miss crafting! Hugs!

Hi Everyone!

Well, a great visit out to see Nancy at Lake Erie, and a round of birthdays when I got home - Daria, 2 of my grandsons, my sister in law, my son in law, 'Aunt' Betty turned 90(!) and mine! Tomorrow morning I leave for VA for 8 days - just hoping for a relaxing visit after the drive down!

Keeping all in my prayers - especially Lesley with the house and job, and all the rest of the bus, for whatever your needs are presently! Hope everyone is well and enjoying the end of summer!

Hugs from Greenie!

Hugs back Greenie! How fun to go see Nancy! I am doing great. Still at DD's with the grands! DD and hubby get home tonight and after two weeks away I will be home tomorrow night!

I brought supplies with me on plane and we (DGD) and I did all 35 DTGD Challenges!
Well she helped, really a lot! But she is 14 and practices music 2 hours a day, piano and violin. Also she is home schooled and already working on 2 subjects. So she was pretty busy. D g s is 16 and has 2 jobs! But somehow we found tine to play lots of Scrabble, watch 2 Star Wars movies and DGD and I watched all 6 hours of Pride & Prejustice. Whew! Don't know how we got it all in, plus all activities and services at church, and 3 meals a day! And these teens eat!

Hey gals! Thanks for all the prayers! We still don't have a buyer for the house nor have I been successful at finding a job. However, my darling DIL is going back to work next week & I'll be watching little Taylor. She is 6 weeks old & just melts my heart!

How is everyone here? Tater let me know she & Gunner are ok in Texas. My kiddies in Corpus Christi are ok. Praising the Lord for their safety.

I've been doing some bible journaling, but not making any cards. I unpacked some of my scrapbook stuff for a scrapbook day with friends Sunday. I started Taylor's book.

Take care everyone! Hugs!!!!

Sorry to hear there is no news on selling the house or a job for you yet, Lesley, but watching the baby will be TONS more fun!

Glad to hear Tater and Gunner are okay and your family in Corpus Christi - that weather there is really crazy with all the rain, and winds - my heart goes out to everyone who has to live with the chaos that is currently going on!!

I have been keeping up with birthday cards and that is about it!!! Scrapbooking will start up again toward the end of Sept and into Oct - then Christmas cards - does it ever end??

No hostess club for the first year ever, and so with the exiting of those club orders, I may not be an SU demo beyond December - I can read the writing on the wall - everyone seems to have reached the saturation point for buying "stuff"! Oh well, 10 years isn't too bad I guess!

Hugs and Love to all!

Hello! Anyone there?I saw Lesley did. Scrap page of her adorable Taylor.
I had eye surgery, cataracts and stigmatism last Wednesday. Am doing great, and see great with the one eye. They won’t do other one until dr. Gets my blood pressure down and signs a release, so I have been doing the Falliday .fest challenges, for all 30done. I saw
Shirley in the festivities.
So any news from the rest of you.? Be nice to hear.

Hi Sharon. Maybe everyone is sleeping, but you and I. I was just getting ready to go to bed and decided to check my email and there you were.

Glad you are doing great with your eye surgery. Not sure I could keep my eye open long enough for them to do my eye. That is good news that you can really good with it, too.

I am enjoying the nice cooler weather. (not looking forward to what follows) We had a weiner roast and chili over the weekend. It was fun.

I only did a few Falliday challenges. I have had to much going on to keep up with everything lately. Wow, you did them all. You deserve a metal. That is a lot.

Take care. It was good to hear from you.

Hi Shirley! What kind of surgery did you have? I am glad you didn’t have much pain.Yes, I am not supposed to do any lifting, so pounds or more for a couple of weeks and no stooping over, because of pressure on the eye. No eye rubbing, no dust etc. do you know how many times a person needs to stoop over to pick up something dropped or how many times a person wants to rub the eye? LOL. You probably found out how many times you wanted to pick up a grandchild without thinking! But God created amazing bodies, didn’t he? And they heal ! Praise the Lord!
I was glad to hear from you Shirley! Specially since you are the driver, I think! I hope someone is still driving this bus! LOL

OK, bad Greenie!!

Sorry I have not been here much lately - taking my neighbor to her dr. appts., my own appts., having Daria after school every day, just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the days to get everything done that has to be done! ---and I just went to the Poconos for a scrapbook weekend - it was wonderful, and I finally scrapped my trips from 2011 to California and my first trip to Shirley's! Yay for me ! Also got the collage pages from my 70th (TWO YEARS AGO!) showing all the friends and family who were there to celebrate with me - took THREE PAGES to show everyone who was there!! What a great time we had - lots of wonderful memories - I think that is the best part of scrapbooking - going over all the old pictures and reliving the good times!!

Have also been back to having classes for cards, and on Nov 5th, we will have a gift class, then in December we do a Christmas card swap - the social event of the year!! LOL - everyone brings some thing yummy to eat, and their own original designed cards and we swap them like a cookie swap!

Asking for prayers again for my brother who cannot seem to break from his addiction to alcohol, even after almost dying - he is back to out of control drinking and it is killing his wife especially since she brought him thru the last emergency, and is suffering to see him go right back.

Almost some prayers of guidance to my son, who has a possibility of heading out to the west coast for work - with my darling grand daughter - and does not seem to want to listen to me about the expense, the culture shock and the position of being so far away from ALL FAMILY, when they do need family to help quite often! I can't say anymore, so I am just praying he gets some enlightenment on the many, many aspects of life that would drastically change if they do decide to go at the end of the school year. SO we have plenty of time to pray for this!!

Saying hi to all of you on the bus, praying for you and all your intentions!

Much love,
Greenie

Hi my friends! Long time! I miss you all!

Sharon, thank you for sharing the November scrapbook challenge. I appreciate it. I have been scrapbooking with limited supplies, but it is helping me through my depression and getting me through the days that I don't have my granddaughter. The house is quite quiet now that Ryan is married. He took his dog too, so the house is really quiet. The hubster is off from work every Friday from now till the New Year, so that helps to have him home one day a week.

We closed the camper last weekend. That is always depressing. There have been NO bites or offers on the house. My unemployement is over, so it is getting really scary now. I was almost sure that we would have been in another place by now.

Anyway, I'm just checking in. I hope all is well with you.

Shirt, how you feeling? Been praying for ya!

Greenie, Sending hugs to you. Love ya, gal!

Wow, good to hear from you, Lesley!!I am so stinking busy, I never get a chance to get on the bus any more!!

Sorry to hear that your UE is over, and the house has not sold - this is a rough time to sell - most people don't want to move this close to Christmas and would rather wait till the end of the school year!

Praying for a quick miracle for you for both the house and a job!! I can only imagine how scary it is for you.

Asking for some prayers for my brother - again - is having issues with his PTSD and the alcohol - was in ICU again , but supposedly said to someone that he got a miracle this time - I am hoping he had a close enough to death experience that he realizes God is holding him in His hands and he can fight off the urge to drink and find something worthwhile to do - maybe like helping others at the rehab!

My son, Michael also needs some recovery prayers - had a super bad gall bladder attack and spent 5 days almost - in 2 hospitals to get 3 surgeries - to get out the gall bladder and the darn stones in his bile duct!

A few other intentions also need prayers - not at liberty to speak of them now, but would appreciate the prayers.

Hugs, love and blessings to all of you!!

Happy New Year to you, Lesley girl. Hope you have a wonderful year.

As a former realtor, I suggest to ask your realtor for suggestions as what can be done to help get the house sold. I am sure this time of year is slow due to the winter weather, but sunny days are coming. Hang in there.

Hey, Lesley!!

I think Shirt's advice is really SPOT ON - you listed at a tough time - seems the only time a family who would need a house that size, would have kids and NOT want to move in the middle of the school year, and would wait until Mar or April to even look so that they would have 3 months to finish up the school year and pack up to move.

I know it has been upsetting you and have been praying for someone to come and fall in love with your house. Hope something happens sooner rather than later. Love seeing how big the grands are getting on FB pictures!! Praying for a happy and healthy New Year for you and Mark.

Hugs to all my sistahs - on the bus or not - HAPPY NEW YEAR, and HUGS to all of you!!

Default Happy New Year's to Everyone

Lesley, so sorry to read that you house has still not sold... I think the ladies might be right that some of has to do with the time of year and the weather.

Most people would not want to move over the holidays...and, as they said, if they have children...not move in the middle of a school year.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Ours was better than it has been a long time. Mainly because we managed to see more of our family than we usually do at Christmas. For the last couple of years it's been only Jim and I on Christmas.

My biggest present was getting to see my grandson. He went away to Arizona to go to school...almost a year ago...and I had not seen him since then. It was so special getting to see him on Christmas eve.

I don't make New Year's resolutions anymore, I always break them anyway. Instead I try to make some easy goals. This year it's to finally get back to Split Coast and post some cards, and to try and make more Christmas cards this year than I did last year... (I ran out of cards!) (so some people on my list did NOT get one...I just couldn't find the time the week before Christmas to make more.

Take care everyone,
And if you live where it's cold (like where I am)
I hope you can Keep warm and Healthy
Blessings,
Jill
