I am, Dody. The house was sooooo quiet yesterday. I did my usual 'travel day' stuff and got some of the laundry done as well as the AOCC and CCC threads caught up on here. Just kept moving and tried not to think about Adrian not helping me.

There is no really good place though to go watch the fireworks. They are all so crowded.

Hope it has cooled down some at the ball park so it's not too unbearable for you guys sitting out there.

Don't push yourself working outside in that hot weather. Stop whenn it gets to be too much.
Near all the fireworks were cancelled in the smaller towns because of the burn ban and fire danger. I was content to stay home and record the Macy's fireworks on TV. I watch them every year when Bob's gone rather than go see them alone.

They change so quickly. She'll be doing it soon. I'm working with Jaydin on blowing out of her nose and regulating how often she blows out so that she has enough air to last as long as she's under. I have to take really small steps with her.

I finished Uncle Tom's Cabin & thought it was worth my time. I'll read more of the classics now but need a few 'for fun' ones in between. I'm enjoying Robyn Carr's "The House on Olive Street" pretty good read but not like her VR series. I think Kelly might enjoy it since it's about women writers.
I'd like to go back and read some of the classics. I read Gone With the Wind for the first time when I was 22 and wondered why I'd not read it sooner LOL.

thanks for the Robyn Carr recommendation. I like Robyn's books and always get updates when she has new ones coming out.

You can get the games inexpensively at Walmart. We bought the washer game a couple years ago.

I understand that. I just really love being able to have all of my books with me on my Kindle. It's very freeing to me. And, it's easy to hold.

When we got home, I worked out, and then, we jumped in the pool.
Ouch! Glad you and the horse are both okay. Jaydin is a natural with horses.

Thanks. Me, too. It was an experience.

Yes, she is. I'm thrilled that she's found something that she can 'lifetime' love.

They are going to get her a flower box and flowers for shade so she can have the patio all to herself. I'm thinking of getting her a sand/ water table for out there.

Has Jaydin read any of the Little House books? We're going there on Friday.

Then she stood out in the middle of the garden, spread her arms out air plane fashion and just spun around and around and around in place... just so free and enjoying the moment. So didn't want her to go home at that point.

No, she's not read them yet (although, I see it coming soon), but she has seen the show. She knows the premise. She'll think that's really cool. She's in the middle of reading about Annie Oakley right now. Go figure....

I was terrified of the water when I was little. All three kids have been, as well. Fortunately, we've worked through it with all of them, and they all know how to swim pretty well. Jaydin still has a ways to go, but for age 6, I'm pleased with how well she's done.

FJ and I won't go through the museum because I can't take pictures inside. But we'll get pictures of the outside of both houses and we'll tour the gift shop. FJ has been spending her travel money very wisely so has some to spend

No pics We were just sitting outside and she was partially obscured by the tomato fence anyway. But it's impeded in my brain and my journal.

I started an Art Journal with Adrian this summer. I'll have the girls do one every summer. And in the back I'll journal about MY moments with them so they'll always have those memories of 'summers at Grandpa and Grandma's '

We started tracking her library books from summer reading, pictures of stuff she did, incorporating pieces of her art work. I look forward to her getting older (not rushing!) so she can journal on her own and truly make it HER memories.

I read GWTW for the first time in 8th grade. Since then I read it about every 10 years. I take away something different each time too. I plan on working my way thru more classics now that I have the Kindle. Something like Jane Eyre next tho!

It has been a grandma house day all day and again tonight Ali plays at 8:00 am so the boys are here and so is Brooke

Brooke and I joined some friends for supper up in Williamsfield, I had a very yummy burger... Brooked liked her porkchop sandwich too ...My friend Larry checked the radiator, it was just a smidge low, so I followed them home so he could add some ...

I think we will be at home most of the day tomorrow... another 101 day... So I will be happy to be inside...

Kel, sounds like you have some new memories to add to your "grandma " memory bank and thanks for stopping in at my blog
Shell, hope you tell us what your family fun day is all about...
Dody, that water looks beautiful... what a dream come true for you...

Maggie thanks for the nice words on my blog, and I love all of the new outdoor furniture...good job on putting it together... : )

Good morning Quackers. Happy Saturday. I've got a hair appointment at 9 and then not many plans. I actually have to get a talk ready for church tomorrow.

Dody, pretty awesome you out on the boogie board. Next you'll be surfing the waves!

Sounds like a good day for you Soni. Nice to have the grands over. I'm so thankful that our temps have been down, but I'm hearing on the news all the bad things going on with the heat elsewhere with the crops, especially the corn - not good. They do say that relief is coming this week. We're supposed to get that rain that's on the way by Tuesday at the latest and it's supposed to be heavy.

Thanks. I love it too. I sat out on my bench last night for a little while until I started seeing mosquitos. I really need to get the bug spray exchanged and get the yard sprayed again

I started an Art Journal with Adrian this summer. I'll have the girls do one every summer. And in the back I'll journal about MY moments with them so they'll always have those memories of 'summers at Grandpa and Grandma's '
That will be such a wonderful keepsake for them to have later.

I do have photos of times the grands were with me as they were growing up. I should get them scrapped also. Hopefully, they'll come over in August before they go back to school. Not sure what we'll do then, but we'll think of something.

She ran and got her water duck (cute little watering can) and proceeded to water the entire garden... not just her flowers.
Then she stood out in the middle of the garden, spread her arms out air plane fashion and just spun around and around and around in place... just so free and enjoying the moment. So didn't want her to go home at that point.
What a sweet memory.

They are going to get her a flower box and flowers for shade so she can have the patio all to herself. I'm thinking of getting her a sand/ water table for out there.
That will be nice that she'll have a garden to take care of at home.

I know. That is too bad, but hopefully is learning to adapt. At least she does have the time with her grandma.
