oh, that must have been it then...we saw her sail right past the condo...pretty cool.

How wonderful for all of you. Just worked out all the way around.

Yep! She's beautiful, too, but I've not been on her. With her only taking the shorter trips, I don't expect to ever get that chance.

The new update for Firefox really screwed up my computer. I can't use it, anymore. I switched to Google Chrome.

We wouldn't have even gotten one like that, but we had to have it. It would have been nice to get another built-in, double unit (microwave/oven), but that's another $2500. Just after the air handler and paying off vacation.... yeah ... not happening.

We had a wonderful day. We went to the stables and rode. As I was cantering my horse around the ring, he stumbled and fell to his knees. I stayed on - though, I'm not positive how! My instructor was very complimentary that I was able to stay on. Jaydin rode really well today. She's going to do great next week with a lesson every day at camp. When we were done, one of the girls up there was going to wash a horse. She asked Jaydin if she'd ever washed one, and we said no. She let Jaydin do most of the work, and Jaydin LOVED it. We were really late leaving the barn, but she learned a lot and had a great time.

When we got home, I worked out, and then, we jumped in the pool.

Glad that you weren't injured with the horse stumbling. I sure hope the horse was okay too. That's great that Jaydin will get to ride every day while she's at camp. That will be a thrill for her.

Lucky having that pool. When I got home and went out to feed the kitties, it was soooooooooooooo hot although it's only about 95.

Hey girls!

The house is quiet. I'm getting some things caught up. I won't get in here tonight. Ready to curl up with the TV and a coffee.

Thanks. It was a good experience ... since I stayed on. Cody (the horse) was fine. I did get my first lesson with spurs, though. Helped Cody remember to pick his feet up a bit more. Didn't stumble after I got those put on.

We worked hard for the pool. I'm so thankful that we chose to do that. It's been a wonderful blessing for us. It was over 100 here again today, so we really needed that water. Helped me 'freshen' up, too, since I rode and worked out.

Good morning Quackers! Worked on a couple more cards for some Party Challenges over at The Outlawz. They've been having a 2000 Member party with a different challenge for each day. So far I've gotten 3 done and just posted the first one on my blog last night. Hope to get a couple more done by Saturday when the party's over.

Soni, sounds like you had a fabulous day yesterday with more to come today. Enjoy having the grands with you.

Last day at the beach! I think we'll only stay until lunch today. Thge dogs are getting very tired of being in their beds all day. Zoey did not want to get back in for bed last night & that has never been a problem. In Ga we would block off the kitchen & still let them have 2 rooms to play/drink/potty. Here they have to be caged when we leave just in case someone comes.

Adrian is really good at spotting them. She got to show one to Daddy while they were here this week. When she squeezed it and dropped it in the water, I thought he was going to be sick. LOL Too funny

A little vics at the nasal opening works great for opening the nasal passage.

Yes, heat has been horrid here, too. We sit in a 'bowl' and the heat seems to settle. Most days we are around 109. But once we get away from the house, we're closer to the 100 mark. We've waited until around 5 p.m to go to the river so the sun is starting to slip behind the cliff and not so intense on the water.

Wasps have been really bad this year. I've been stung 2x. Both by a nasty Red wasp. Never had those before.

Ants can be pesky. Ask Sue.
After their 5.5 hour drive home yesterday, she found ants in their living room. Apparently a certain man had dropped a redhot under the couch... at least that's what she thought it was. it was so covered with ants it was hard to tell.

They had to empty the living room, vaccum and home defense-- all after a very long drive. She was NOT happy.

With things so dry and few flowers to feed from, both hummers and bees are flocking to my feeder. I'm filling it 3 times a day

I'm sure I'll find out, but hope your eye is better. If Adrian is having trouble with allergies, we have to start her on the claritin right away. If her eyes start draining, it goes to pink eye right away - just like Kassie's always did.

Soni, are you using the Bausch & Lomb Eye Wash or just a warm wash cloth? If you're just using the wash cloth, you really need to be 'flushing' it with the saline eye wash.

I don't Lois. Sorry

Glad you are feeling better. I know in this heat it's difficult.
Bob and I will be making a trip through Joplin in September. Maybe on the way back we could meet out at the truck stop.

I had a long post typed in about our day, but it didn't post. So .... just suffice it to say that I'm really proud of Jaydin and the progress she's made in the water. Remember, less than a year ago, she wouldn't even get her face wet. She did so well today. It was a big deal to us.
I understand, Shell. I experienced something similar with Adrian on Wed. She's gone from not putting her face in the water to holding her nose and at least getting her face up to her eyes hehe. She saw a boy about 10 do it at the river and they were playing so she had to try it. A 5 yr old girl joined us and could do the whole body without holding her nose so I was hoping Adrian would try it... but nope.. she was proud as could be to do what she was doing and I praised her for each little inch hehe

Enjoy your day. I hope you've really enjoyed your beach time.

Awww ... poor Zoey. I'm sure she'll be very glad to get her own house where she can play.

Have you had any word on the permits? I guess that will probably not come until Monday or so, huh? I keep hoping!!!

I hope you feel a lot better and that the eye is all better tomorrow morning when you get up.

I've just joined a book club. A friend at church asked me. This month's book is The Help. I've had the book for a while, but never sat down to read it. I didn't even try to look for the book. Instead, I just bought it again on Amazon for my Kindle. That way, I can carry it everywhere. I never thought it would be this way, but I prefer reading on my Kindle rather than a real book .... gracious ... when did that happen!?
As an author, I don't care HOW you read, as long as you BUY LOL One of the things we learned at a conference a couple of years ago is that those of us who were digging in our heels about eBooks stood to lose a HUGE portion of our readership if we didn't at least do some in eBook form. It made sense. But I still want to see my name on an actual paper cover Vain? You betchya!

Both times I've been stung, they are coming out from where the outside fawcett comes out of the house. They're up under the siding, I think. I swear one is designated as 'watcher' 'cause as soon as you reach to turn on the spicot, you're nailed.

I use collyrium by clear eyes and flush it 3 or 4 times a day...it is better now, but was irritated for several days ...

right now we are all feeling better...except
Krista, she went to see Janet today uptown and has a nasty sinus infection with severe drainage...super sore throat... she is on predisone and Zpac...
It is still 101 here today and tomorrow...then dropping to mid 80's for most of the week ...FINALLY

Jaydin is going to be thrilled. I have no doubt. She's been so excited about the pictures you've sent.

Our wasp population at the pool has really diminished. I think the wasp hunting has been productive.
