working cross-stitch sideways?
I am progressing into more complex and larger cross-stitch projects. As I am trying to figure out which will work better for a particlar project, q-snap or scroll frame, and what sizes I'd need, I suddenly had an odd question come to mind.

Has anyone ever worked a cross-stitch project sideways because right way up wouldn't fit the size scroll frame they have? Or if you're a believer in making sure the warp direction of your fabric goes up and down, and the piece of fabric you have to work with can only fit the design on it with the warp going side to side?

It is a total coverage project 300 x 241 stitches being worked on 18ct Aida. I'll being working it a page at a time, and going to give needle parking a try. So, really I'll be focused on small groups of pixels. Why am I having trouble with wrapping my head around working with the pattern rotated 90 degrees?

Are you following a pattern off of a screen? Is there any way to print it out so you can turn the pattern the way you want/need it? I've worked smaller projects turned sideways and even upside down without any problems. I think the important thing is to make sure all of your stitches go the same direction.
