Default Postcards From Around the World

Hello Fellow SCS'ers,

I was wondering if I could ask a plea to those of you who live outside of my home state, Massachusetts, U.S.A. and in faraway places. The kindergarten class at my grammar school is looking for postcards from around the world. If you wouldn't mind taking a moment to send one, it would be so appreciated, and it doesn't have to be handcrafted or personalized! Maybe you could add SCS somewhere to denote that it came through this forum, I would love to track them. Thank you so much!
Please mail to:
Mr. B

Which if preferable, handcrafted or store bought (the ones with the pretty pictures)? Either way I'll try to get one in the mail tomorrow. Although, if homemade is preferred I'll have to look up what size postcards are.

Hi Pam and Sabrina, I asked for clarification from Mr. B who stated he is looking for post cards that depict something of interest from an area, as in what it is known for. He would not mind if it was a handcrafted post card with an included short statement. Ex: Massachusetts is known for Boston baked beans, cranberries, and the Mayflower. There is no rush and if you are able to contribute, it is very much appreciated.
Thank you for your interest and willingness to help!
Julie

P.S. A U.S. mail-able postcard has a minimum size of 5.0 x 3.5 inches and a maximum size of 6.0 x 4.25 inches.

Who'd have thought it would be so hard to find a postcard - without going into the centre of the city!! I was beginning to think I'd have to make one. I tried all the shops near work (and since I work in Guinness, and their visitor centre is meant to be Ireland's top tourist attraction you'd have thought there would be at least one postcard somewhere!!), but by the time I'd walked ten minutes in towards town I still hadn't found one. I did buy one in the visitor centre of an old medieval church - and since I couldn't even find one the next day in our main stationery store near the library, that's the one I posted. Is there a time-line on this, Julie? Because I can probably get a more interesting one in the next few weeks.

Oh Sabrina, I so appreciate your hard efforts to find a postcard. I am so sorry for your troubles to locate one. Isn't that the way, though, when you have a specific quest and the desired item is not in a convenient time/distance radius, or in a venue you'd think it would be? Well, your postcard has arrived! I couldn't read it because it was too high on the board for me to do so, (I am vertically challenged, hitting the five foot mark only) but I was able to see that it was indeed from you and that you had indicated my name on the card (someone else confirmed). There is no time limit, cards are still arriving. It's so exciting to see the board grow with cards from all over though most are about/from the U.S., and it didn't occur to me to snap a photo. I will try to remember to do that soon. Thank you ever so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to do this. <3

I live in Buffalo, New York. We are very close to both the American Side and the Canadian Side of Niagara Falls. I will send you one of the Falls.
