does anyone have any tips on resizing digital stamps to fit into nestabilities?? like do you resize them a half inch smaller than the die or a quarter inch smaller than the die??

hmm, maybe my question wasn't worded very well.

Ok, one of the bonuses to using digital stamps is that they can be resized, right??

assuming that you agree with me, then my next question involves planning to use a nestability die. Does anyone have any tips or rules of thumb for resizing the image? do you like to leave a lot of "white space" from the edge of the paper to the image? Or do you like to snug the very edge of your image up to the edge of the paper??

For the time being, I have been using Word. That the software I am the most familiar with. Do you reformat images so that the text is tighter?

I would probably try both and see which pleases your eye more. I use Photoshop for that type of thing so I can make jpgs or tiffs whatever size I'd like.

Prior to printing, I make sure that Microsoft Word is showing whatever-image, sentiment-at 100%, and I actually put my nestie up to the screen, to see if everything looks like it will fit inside.
If I am unsure, I just run a regular sheet of typing paper through the printer on grayscale.

I look for the actual dimensions of the die on spellbinders website then print off a couple of images just a touch smaller than that size to see which one fits best but I do this on regular printer paper with draft settings to save ink and only print with higher quality ink and card stock when I'm sure its right.
Also the size you need to reduce the image may be different each time depending on the size of the die if that makes sense

Thank you for all the responses.

I was nervous about using them for the first time. I never used them at all before.

Here's what I made. Thank you again for all of your help!

for those stampers who don't have word software. I use paint software, already on my computer. In the print set up, in paint, you can also resize, enter ok, then print out reduced size or enalrged.
