Default Organizing digi's

Has anyone printed out all your digi stamps on paper and put them in a binder so you can just grab your binder and flip through to see what you have?

Yes, I bought these cheap $1.00 soft 4x6 photo albums from Walmart and I print my digis out so I can always look and see what I have. Works great for me.

I haven't started this project yet because I have so many digi stamps, but I plan to use Picassa to organize my images with tags, and then print off contact sheets so that I can see what I have. Sometimes, I spend a couple hours going through all my digis to find what I want.

Hi Michelle,
Yes I thought about doing this a few weeks back. I love doing organising type things so this was right up my alley.

I have my digis filed in an A5 binder.

I found I was accumulating lots of these fantastic images so how was I going to know just what I had?

I sorted them into categories first, then into the names of the companies.
eg: 'Animals & Critters' - Digital Delights, The Stamping Bazaar.

'Christmas' - Digi Stamp Boutique, Digital Delights, Pollycraft. etc etc.

Now it is so easy to find an image I want rather than troll through all the folders on my computer.

Hope this hleps.

When i get a new digi stamp i fill an A4 sheet with as many of the same image as will fit. I store them in a ringbinder. Sometimes i'll colour all the faces, hair , Jeans etc so when i make a card all i have to do is colour the other parts to match my DP. I also use picasa to store my images. Sometimes i use the "Add text facility" to add a caption before printing out as i did with this one for someone who ran out of diesel.

ON THE CARDS: Quick Jokey Card.

I have been working recently organizing my digital. I organized by alphabet, the company name. Reason being- if someone is having a challenge: I can find the company faster.
I also save the images I purchased to USB memory stick and give the device a
number, and record that on the page of my printed image. Usually, I save to 2 different divicies, as they may fail also.
Now, my page has a usb number to go to for that
image, and my computer isn't slowed down by all the images saved on it; and I
don't have to worry if my computer crashes, still saved. It was worth the work.

I also save my images, as I'm afraid of the computer crashing. I number the cd's, print an index of the digi prints and then store them in a binder, so I know which cd I can find them on.

I'm an organizing freak and I never thought to do this but I am going to do this - it takes me forever to flip through all of my different folders. I like to know which company makes the stamp so I can give credit where it is do but now I can print them out with the information and file according to theme. Yeah! Thanks for a super idea!!!

I just created a digi folder and have folders in that. They are organized by subject. It's easy to open the folder and scan them. By keeping them in folders by subject, there aren't as many in one folder, so it's rather quick. Of course, I have several that don't quite fit into a specific subject area, but I find that as I acquire them, I find others to group them with.

I list the creator/company in the file name on each so I know where they came from.

They are stored on a flash drive, so if the computer crashes, I don't lose them. The flash drive is plugged into the computer. No disks to search through and insert, then open files. Super easy process for me.
