Digi Stores
I feel like someone asked this question recently but I can't find it. I bought a digi over the weekend, and found the company charges tax, weird because it was the first time I encountered this but it was only a few cents so I didn't question it and continued with my purchase. (I'm in PA, not sure if this makes a difference and thought maybe the seller is required to charge a tax in some states).
Today, I wanted to purchase from another new store I never used before and when checking out, I am being charged $1.50 shipping and handling for a $2.00 digi! I cancelled my purchase, this is ridiculous! No one is shipping anything so how can they charge this? Granted, on average I pay between $3 and $4, and the total for the digi and S&H is between these amounts, but it's the principle. Am I wrong to choose not to do business with a company for this reason? |
Wow! I have never encountered your issues as of yet. I would simply order from another company, there is lots of competition out there and quite frankly how can they justify shipping and handling fees??

You may want to contact the seller since they might not know their shopping cart software is set up to charge shipping and/or tax. I personally would give them the benefit of the doubt since most people selling digis are a one person show and it may have been an oversight.

As for the tax being charged that maybe that y'all are in the same region so they may have to charge tax.
Now as to the one that was charging shipping. That's crazy. I would probably contact them and see what's up with that. I've never had this problem fortunately. |
Sounds like a good idea to contact them, maybe there's a mistake. Thanks everyone!

If its a new company and a 1-man band as mentioned previously, they may not be aware of a setting in the shop software where this can be switched off for digital products. Contact them.

shipping and handling? weird.
I can understand the handling part - someone has to package the images and send them to you, but I can't get my head around the shipping part. |
