Bugaboo Digi and Copic Markers
 

I just downloaded a couple of digi stamp images and I've printed them using my HP photosmart printer onto Papertrey white cardstock. Is there anyone out there who can tell me whether or not the lines on the image will bleed if I us my copic's to color in the image? I will use another medium if the image bleeds.

Thought someone here may have done or tried this already??

You should be ok! I find that it doesn't bleed over the lines, but it sometime picks up the black ink. Specifically with the yellow and lighter color families. But that might be alleviated if you heat set it - which I have not tried. I sometimes let it dry overnight before coloring and that works great!

Haven't tried that paper yet, but wanted to let you know, that sometimes it depends on the humidity level at your house. If you have a heating gun you could use that after printing it, then it most likely won't bleed.

I usually leave my images for about half an hour before using Copics. I find my laser printer is okay to use right away. Have fun!

I had to buy a cheapo Brother laser printer at Staples and use HP premium laser paper to print my digis. Both the ink on my inkject HP and Lexmark printer smeared when I used Yellow or Fleshtone copic markers. The laser printer burns the ink into the paper so it won't smear. Only problem is that Brother laser printers aren't designed to use more than 30 lb paper so you can't run cardstock through them. I am very happy with the HP premium laser printer paper as the copics color fantastic on it. The ink doesn't run outside the lines like it does on most cardstocks.

I have an HP printer that uses the 02 inks. I have no trouble with them smearing. It really is an individual thing. Test out your paper and ink combo and heat set if necessary.

I use an hp printer and Papertrey ink card stock. I find it does bleed a lot for me. My solution is to spray my images with a Matte fixative. No bleeding problems at all after the sprayed images dry. Heat setting didn't do it for me. I am heavy handed with the markers and keep laying down and blending the ink, so that might be part of my problem.
