Hello!! Today is the final task for this month’s progressive challenge! Time sure flies.
Although these will be the final instructions for creating your digi page, check back next Tuesday if you’d like to try one more thing using your finished page!
Don’t know what a Progressive Challenge is? Go here to learn.
CHALLENGE TWO (July 2012) - TASK 4(FINAL)
1. Open your page from Week 3. Add one or both of the following: (1) two or more lines of journaling; and/or (2) writing in the background that pertains to the theme of your page. Reduce the opacity for a subtle effect, or use a quote or other kind of word play. (I used a collection of patriotic words in different colors on mine and reduced the opacity to keep it subtle.) 2. Add a title and date. 3. Review your page to be sure you’ve added shadows where applicable.
Save your page as a .jpg & upload to the Task 4 Progressive Scrap Gallery by adding the keyword DGSCPR002Task4 when you upload. Please also post this week’s work in this thread.
I recommend saving your final, unflattened page before saving a jpeg version for the web. If you decide you want to print your page, the resolution of the web copy will not be good enough to do so.
Reminder: When uploading your page to your gallery, on the Gallery Image Upload Page, choose the category “Scrapbooking/ Digital Scrapping” rather than “Scrapbooking/Progressive Pages,” since that “Progressive Pages” refers to a method of scrapping different from our progressive challenge.
Have fun! Don’t forget to leave some praise for your fellow challenge takers! Can't wait to see what everyone does with their pages this week!
i'm not finding my zone this week! i've had out of town company (week 2 so far) and its been hard to be creative. plus my daughters call is up and we moved her this week. (we should be on tv. we unloaded 3 cars, a truck and a uhaul, unpacked, organized cupboards, hung curtain and artwork, arranged furniture, everything, so that when we leave, she has a home. and we do it in 12 hours! extreme moving!)
i kept this weeks task to a minimum because this page already felt busy to me.
I added the title and date. For the words requirement, I'm using the student's names, which are behind the pictures. I tried to work in our school creed, but it just made everything look too cluttered.

I added the title as a subtle effect (yeah, I know - that seems kind of contradictory), and then the journalling in the banner.
It just seemed to work better that way.
