SEPT. 2012-Task 4-FINAL-DIGISCRAP PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGE (DGSCPR004Task4)
Can you believe it's nearing the end of September? For us here, that means today's the day for the final task!
Don’t know what a Progressive Challenge is? Go here to learn.
PLEASE NOTE! Although this is in the digiscrap threads, anyone is welcome to play--whether they're a digi, paper or hybrid scrapper. Just as the digiscrappers, when doing a traditional challenge, sometimes have to change up the instructions a little to fit their digi needs, the traditional scrappers might have to improvise on some of the digi techniques. It should make things interesting!
PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGE #4 TASK 4-FINAL (SEPT. 2012)
TASK 4 is easy peasy:
-Add a word strip (or title) on top of the vertical layers just below the photo. Affix it with a clip, brad or other fastener, or just lay it on top.
-Add a title, quote or journaling and date. Finished!
Voila! When you finish this task, your page will be complete!
NOW UPLOAD:
- Remember to first save your page in its original version to maintain your layers, so you'll be able to make changes/additions in the future, if desired.
[FONT=Verdana]For me, once I’ve done this for my FINAL version, I always go back and delete any other full-layered versions, since the final unflattened version is the only one I’ll need. It helps save space on your drive.
- Save your page for the web as a .jpg (600x600 or less) & upload to the Challenge 4-Task 4 Gallery by adding the keyword DGSCPR004Task4 when you upload. Please also post a link to this week’s work in this thread.
MY TASK 4 PAGE
GALLERY:
If you’ve enjoyed using hexagons, I found this fun template that you can download for FREE during September 2012. After that, Peppermint Creative will offer it for $1.75. You do have to register on the site, but I’ve been using the site for several years and know it’s safe. I know this template works for Adobe programs (PSE and PS), but not sure about other digi programs. Here’s a link:

They have a freebie kit you can download while you're there, too. It's called "Crisp Apple."

easy peasy?
not hard, but garsh i have a hard time deciding on things. i am the worlds slowest scrapper. the great thing about digitial is there is no glue, i can change a gamillion times. i really like how this simple picture turned out. i love how every picture of a bird, looks like they are thinking "hey, are you looking at me?" every bird looks slightly miffed!
here it is.
awesome challenge, thanks.

Been away camping so was thankful that this last task was quite easy, I knew what my title and journalling was going to be so it came together really quick. Love the progressive challenge, thanks Wendy!!!

Had fun with this challenge and I also did another page to complete the pair, using elements from the challenges especially the hexagons again, which after seeing things other people did it was much easier. Love how the pages go together, thanks again for the challenge wendy!

Here's my page for the final task: Graduate
Now I'm off to call Stampin' Up because they misspelled HASSLE in that stamp brush set. Can you believe that?! UGH...

oh good lord, how did they spell it? maybe why i dont journal, because i am so afraid of misspelling words, and it never works to proof your own writing. let us know what they say. pain in the butt for you, but it did make me chuckle. in the meantime that brush would not be hard to do on your own.

While I had the gal on the phone at Stampin' Up I realized that tassel is misspelled too. We had a good laugh over it. It wasn't her mistake, but she felt horrible. She's researching it and plans on calling me back.
You're right though. I just might go back and make it/fix it myself.

now i am confused. i had to look the words up. tassel and hassle is what i came up with. i sent an email to my daughter who is in her 8th yr of college and her email back said "really?" i guess that means i should know? the kids went out to dinner with their dad and his family last weekend and someone mispronounced "balsamic" and you would have thought they cleaned their ears at the table with the seafood fork!

Has taken me a while to finish off this page. Wasn't happy as it didn't feel like it tied together properly.
Added purple threads running across the page which made all the difference. I changed the angle of the journally strips to fit. Then added a title to the topnote tag, a date tag and some extra brads.
