{Summer Get-Together} July Progressive step 1 (07-07-15)
Hello fellow scrapbookers! Happy Summer! This month we're doing a different take on the Progressive Scrapbook Challenge. We still will be making a scrapbook page by adding more steps to it this week, but it will be a lot different! As always, all scrapbookers are welcome, digital or traditional. And there is no time limit. Please play along whenever you can!
Our theme for July's progressive challenge is {SUMMER GET-TOGETHER}. Hopefully each week we will have fun as we get together our ideas - together! In keeping with our {SUMMER GET-TOGETHER} theme I want you to find pictures that are from summer or have a sunshine feel. Choose your pictures and set them aside. Now, step 1 is up to YOU... I want you to choose a 2-page layout that you would like to use along with the pictures you picked out. You can search through the Splitcoast Sketch Challenges here or you can find a layout from a different source. As we are not starting to build our pages this week (this is summer after all, let's relax a bit and take it easy!) there is no gallery yet. But I would like you to post the summer theme of your pictures and the layout you chose if possible! Also, just for fun, post your favourite 5 things about summer! |
I've picked mine!
My photos are from last summer - a get-together with our mother-in-law at a beautiful scenic place with a lot of flowers! I have been dreading doing this page because I have TONS of photos. I found my layout on pinterest. Not sure if it'll work to share it here, but I'll try... La suite et fin des mosaques sur l'Alaska - Scrappadingue - Le scrap d Elodie Touzet iggydodie This layout has 12 photos on it and I'm going to try to do something similar. I have 10-12 photos on each of my pages. The other side of my 2 page layout I want to look something like this... Layout: Love is Enough Another page with a LOT of photos. I think I can get the 2 pages to work together! (Although often when I try to "copy" a page layout, I end up going way off course. Oh well, the point is to get the pages scrapbooked!) Some of my favourite things about summer... 1. Warm weather, not being cold at night or wearing sweaters all the time! 2. Fun times with family 3. Sleeping in! 4. More free time 5. Having visitors over |
This looks like fun, Trish! Heading out for an appointment now, but will but my thinking cap on!
|
Thinking, going to a crop tomorrow then again next week end so I will need plenty of projects!!
|
This could be fun! After looking at the Alaska photos, makes me want to lift the layout with my own pictures from Alaska! LOL!!! Seriously, I may just do that!

Does anyone have a layout picked out yet?
Or some favourite summer things? |
Oh, this looks like fun! Gonna try to play this month... it's a busy month for me, so hopefully I can keep up. I picked out the photos I want to use (my grand niece's first boating experience taken last month).
The Layout I am lifting was found on pinterest here. I love the scattered, almost haphazard feel of the placement of the photos. Plus there seems to be plenty of room for some added embellishments. And the 5 things I love about summer are: 1) sunsets 2) relaxing in the pool 3) strawberries, and watermelon and peaches (oh, my!) 4) brightly painted toe nails 5) inpromtu weekend getaways |

Love the layout you chose! Hope you can play along - even if you don't get done in July, but keep working on it later, please share when you're finished! Oh yes, I agree with the fruit! My parents just came to visit and brought a bunch of different types of fresh fruit for us - peaches, plums, blueberries and cherries! |
I going to play along using photos from the lake where we camp during the summers. I pinned this layout on Pinterest a while ago. It's from a site called Memoriesoncloverlane. With two pages I should be able to get about 20 photos on!!
My favorite things about summer are: 1. The lake 2. Swimming 3. Boating 4. Camping with friends 5. Campfires Can't wait for our next step! |

Great layout. I love that you're going to be able to get so many photos on! Seems like you're able to do all your favourite things at the lake! Thanks for playing along! |

I didn't realize we were suppose to post our layout ideas here...
I have this layout that I saved on Pinterest that I knew would work perfect for this challenge and my photos are from our "summer" family get together. This will be the first family party that my family had been able to attend in 15 years. :) it's so nice to be living on this coast again! Here is my layout... http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_LvuRRx33vB...0/DSC_2512.JPG And my five favorite things about summer are: Family Fishing Fourth of July Favorite swimming hole (the river at grandma's) Food - new BBQ recipes |

I'm finally getting around to catching up on some scrapbooking and found a sketch (sketch15feb3) to use. I took advantage of Walgreen's sale last weekend for having some pictures printed from my DD & I trip to Mrytle Beach! Alaska will have to wait a while longer!;)

Hope to see your pages soon and put your photos to good use! |
Let me see if I have any summer-time-ish photos printed for this challenge so I can play along.
|
The only summertime photos I have printed out are from our first Disney Cruise, so those will have to do!
The theme will be "Mickey's Pool" and I will be using the double page layout from Pagemaps: PageMaps I don't know if I can find 5 things about summer I like, but I'll try ;) 1. Sleeping in! 2. Vacation with the family 3. Staying up late 4. Sleeping in - haha 5. Uhhhhh Oh well, I tried. :D I really am a winter person! |

Here is my layout: http://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.spli...3dad0859a4.jpg My theme will be Family Reunions, as this was my maternal grandmother's family getting together for the first time in a very long while.
