Thanks for sharing - much appreciated. When you say you embossed the printout - can you explain how you did that please.

Thanks SO much lovely ladies! It's just rough (I still have so much too learn) but I hope it works for ya.

Thanks for your question Valmin! I've a couple of ways to answer it, since I like to use a couple ways to emboss digital images.

1st: Some metallic or semi-non-porous papers will let you emboss straight out of an ink jet printer. Favourites of mine are Vellum cardstock from Paper Temptress (Candido Incandescent & metallics.) You just prepare your embossing supplies (so you can work quickly) and then print, sprinkle on the embossing powder & heat set it. Here's an example: http://melstampz.blogspot.com/2009/1...al-onesie.html (the tags)

2nd: You can prepare papers with Matte Medium (clear) or Gesso (white or other colours) to make them not soak up the paper too fast, so it stays wet enough to hold the embossing powder. There's a full tutorial here:
http://melstampz.blogspot.com/2009/1...ith-matte.html

I'm obsessed with embossing, so all the digital work on my blog (which is half of it or more, lately) uses an embossed digital technique.

Sorry for the long response. Hope it helps, please don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have. Happy embossing! mel

I don't know whether I'll get to use this, but I love pomegranates - done several embroideries with them- so I'll download it and try to remember I have it. TFS.

Like all your "paper work," Mel, this is beautiful and innovative. Thank you.

For those of you who have never visited Mel's blog, it is an absolute MUST feed. She has more techniques, ideas, and simply mind-blowing projects than ANY other website or blog I've seen barring SCS.

Really, you've got to visit her site.

Go on.

Yes. Right NOW.

And be sure to look at her paper armoire project. Mind-blowing!

You'll never regret it.
