Default help with png images

I only need a way to view these and resize them. I am not a digital scrapper so i insert all my digital stamps into word or works. Then print them out once they are sized how i want them. I need a program that i do the same thing with png images as you can not insert them into word. I have tryed resaving the ones i have as jpegs and they just end up with black boxes behind them. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I just see a lot of companies going the png route i hate to ask for jpeg versions every time i buy a stamp.

You can use Gimp, a free program that you can download at http://www.gimp.org. It will allow you to open, view, and print .png, jpeg, and other formats as well.

I dont know why you cant resize your PNG images in Word, this program should work well. Ive just tried it and it works well. I usually use Photoshop but Word works with PNG images... its weird.
Anyway, here are GIMP tutorials http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/
Good luck!!!

Hi, Jan -- In your version of Word, open a new document and go to:
Insert > Picture > From File...

In your Insert Picture pop-up dialog box, do you have a bottom drop-down box for "Files of type"? Can you choose Portable Network Graphics (*.png) there?

If you have that box set for JPEG instead, it won't show you the PNG files to insert. I usually leave that box set for "All pictures," which includes PNG.

My previous post was talking about using Word. Is your black background in Word or in GIMP?

I used to feel the same way as you when I first started with digital stamps. I have a couple of posts on my blog about this
