In MDS can you import digital kits that are not SU??
Thanks in Advance!!
I have not tried this myself, but my understanding is yes. This was on the SU! information page.
Q: What other software programs are compatible with My Digital Studio downloads?
A: Any program that supports .jpg and .png files & layers such as: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements, Jasc Paint Shop Pro (PSP), Microsoft Digital Image Pro (DIP), Ulead Photo Impact (PI), Corel Draw.
So it seems that as long as they are .jpg or .png they would be compatible. So far I have found lots to do with just MDS so I have not gone beyond the program. Hopefully someone with experience will weigh in on this.

Betty, thank you, I'm about to go check your tutorials. I got MDS before Christmas but couldn't load it until recently. Then I discovered some kind of resistence to just leaping in and trying it. Tutorials to get going is just what I need.
Liv, I have downloaded and imported thousands of elements and papers into my MDS project. In fact, I spend more time collecting (freebies! Yay!) than I do creating. There are so many neat tricks that I have found. You will love the software, it rocks!!!
Here is one of my first pages created in MDS. One really cool feature of MDS that is easier here than in some programs is the "drop shadow". I just love the way the shadows make the pages come alive (pop, if you will). As you can see, I really like drop shadows, so I moved my default to 75% from 35%. There are so many ways to customize your projects. A great program for users of all levels...
Just an example with imported embellies and drop shadow:

I tried to upload some new ones, but my 'puter is suuuuuppppper busy downloading the new beta Office 2010, and it was taking forever to upload. So I quit. ;-). I'll put more up sometime...
sorry... end of hijack... just so excited about this program! Kitty, have fun with the Tutorials!
I asked in another thread too. Using the MDS, can you hide the photos you've already used on pages? I have lots of pictures from a vacation and it is difficult to remember if I've used that photo before.

I dont think so. Are there other programs that do this?
Just added a new tutorial for creating four 6 X 6 layouts on a 12 X 12 page or four 4-1/4 X 5-1/2 layouts on a 8-1/2 X 11 page. Planning new ones for using the overlay stamps too. (The new downloads are SO cool!!) http://kittystamp.blogspot.com/2010/...es-and-my
hi mamaschwich i TOO have downloaded a bunch of free paper and embellishments from online BUT now im stuck....i have no idea where in the "my digital studio" software lets me upload them to a page?

Betty I have hardly had a chance to look at your blog, but what I have seen looks fabulous!!! I really want to read up on all the MDS tutorials, thanks so much for sharing your wonderful work, makes me anxious to play around with the program!
Is the top note die shape available as a digital shape? I love that shape and haven't found it in MDS unless I'm not looking in the right place...I haven't found it as a purchase yet either. Thanks.

No but the curly label punch comes with the program and by grabbing a side you can stretch it out. You can make it look like the top note.
LOVE your tutorials.. The book marks are the bomb!
I am in desperate need of your help! I am trying to send my Christmas card to the printer but my greeting is showing up on the inside left page instead of where it should be -- on the inside right page. Can you help me get it to where it should be?
Thanks SO much!!!
Dawn

Would you be able to help me with that - how to use my non-SU .png images with the MDS program? I created folders in the proper categories (background paper, stamps, embellishments) and added the new .png files there, but I get repeated error messages when I open the program and start a program. The error pops up for every file I've added, and sometimes twice. The message is that the file might be a corrupted image file null pointer exception.

I have not done this myself but here is a thread that talks about that. (the last post).
Thank you for your tutorials! I havent checked them out yet, but I will. I got MDS for Christmas and have just started playing with it. I can see the potential, but I need to learn how to do stuff first! Thanks again.
Thanks for posting tutorials. I can't wait to check them out. I got MDS during the Black Friday sale, but am just starting to play with it.
I downloaded a bunch of stuff from faithsisters and was easily able to use the papers in MDS. I haven't tried any embellies yet, but I'm sure they will work the same. You just choose from a folder on your computer rather than the drop down from SU!.
OMG! Your blog = amazing!
The consultant I ordered MDS through said she had used it and could help me. Yeah, not so much! UGH! Don't lie to me to make a sale.
