I really do not have an exciting story to share with you about how these colors came about. I knew I needed to use bermuda bay this week and the colors sort of evolved from there. I must say, though, that I really think these colors have a regal quality to them together. Of course, the dessert option to add crush flowers in any dp color of choice HELPS! LOL! Enjoy and have fun!
CC264: Bermuda Gray Saffrons!
Bermuda Bay(taken with teal)
Basic Gray(darker gray)
So Saffrons
Neutrals of Choice
This week's dessert option:Layered crushed flowers. You can use any color or pattern dp for these flowers! LOVE to see what you create with these. Some people call them distressed flowers, punched flowers, smooshed flowers, layered flowers.
I asked Nancy and Wanda to sample with me this week! Thanks so much, girls!
Please keep in mind, too, that while we list SU colors for the challenges these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!!!
Please put CC264 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card! If you need help uploading click here!
I will be hosting the color challenges for the next few weeks. If there is a color combo you want to see using any of the new in colors, please pm me with the link to the card. Try to stay within three color choices. Thanks so much!
Another good challenge, Betty! Whenever you throw in that dark grey, it usually IS a challenge for me. Not a color I gravitate toward....but that's the point of the challenge....to stretch ourselves! : ) I feel "stretched"!

Interesting (but nice!) colors. I tried doing something with them late last night, but couldn't do it. So, I tried again this morning. Here is my card. Thanks for looking.
I had the hardest time getting started with this combo but really like the result. This is what I love about the challenges, it really helps you to grow and step outside of yourself to try new things. Thank you for that!
Here is my card: CC264 Welcome by sleepyinseattle at Splitcoaststampers

CC264 Vase of Easter Flowers
HERE is my card for the color challenge. I really struggled with the gray on it...could not imagine how it would look or how I wanted to use it so I just started making the card and when I thought I was finished I said Oops...no gray - so I grabbed my punch (designer label) and there you have it. I stamped the flower images 3 times, cut them out and popped them up with foam dimensionals rather than layer crushed flowers. I plan to mail this card to a friend and everyone knows that layers, flowers, stones, etc. & the post office equipment do not mix well, lol!

At first I thought Oh, no, I don't have a flower punch. Then I remembered the Trio Flower. And I had the perfect branch in Unity's Little Princess set. So I decided it was time to use some of my Unity stamps for a challenge. The sentiment and the bird are from the Bliss & a Birdy set.
All the other stuff is SU. The bird got a bit of bling because I decided to do it in Taken with Teal, which I only have in a craft ink. So I added some Pearl Ex pigment to it.
I was glad I still had a piece of that SU doublesided paper left, the colours were what I needed and the design goes great with my birdie on a flowering bough.
WOW you picked the right day to do a GREY challenge! We're in MA in the flood area, the sky has been "London Fog" for two days. :???: At least we have no water in the basement and my stamps are safe!!!
Anyway, thank you for distracting me from the weather and news, HERE is my submission.
