CC852 What's Black and White and Red All Over? (7/13/21)
Hello there, color lovers! Today I'm so happy to be hosting our second week of Christmas in July. But, before we take a closer peek at this week's colors let's take a look at last week's favorite.
Barbara was our hostess and she chose Christmas Stockings by stampin’nana aka Roberta.
Barbara said:"Roberta combined this week’s colors and dessert option into such a pretty card! The stockings are adorable, with promises of goodies to come, and the snowy circle says Winter. I especially like how she placed the two strips of Washi tape at different levels. That touch really draws the eye in toward the center focal area. Lovely Christmas card, Roberta!".
Congratulations, Roberta! The code to add the badge to your blog is attached below, and your card will also be added to our Pinterest board. Check it out here.
On to this week's colors:
Basic Black
Basic White
Real Red
Remember that you are always welcome to add colors from Neutrals family of the Stampin' Up! color palette. You can find those colors here. We are using the Christmas in July theme as our dessert all month long. As is true every week, dessert is optional. We love to have all players: both those who love to get a head start on Christmas cards and those who think its either a little to hot or early... Here are a few samples to get you started:
Please come back to this thread and post a link to your card. Sometimes there are site issues with the keyword function, and we don't want to miss seeing all your wonderful creations!
Please keep in mind that while SU colors are listed for the challenges, these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!
Please put CC852 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge, use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card.

thought a bit "out of the box" for my color challenge card this week! I went with a halloween themed card and a dracula bunny, a vampire bat, and a spider. dry embossed my spider web, outlining the web with a white colored pencil. Used some vintage style halloween costumes paper for my left vertical border. Added a blood red carrot for my dracula bunny. Here's my card Dracu Bunny
