CAS509 Bring Out Your Pearls
Challenge Title: Bring Out Your Pearls
Hostess: Misti
Keyword: CAS509
Date: Week of November 25, 2018
My oldest son became fascinated with WWII & everything that goes with that when he was in about 5th grade. I thought it was really cool that he was interested in history & because we homeschool, we were able to park there & study more than the textbook gave us. But then he didn't want to study anything else!! LOL He has read tons of books & watched every WWII movie that he can get his hands on. Pearl Harbor Day is Dec. 7th & he is already talking about it. My challenge for you is to bring out your pearls. It can be flat back pearls, pearls made with crystal Nuvo drops or liquid pearls, images of pearls, etc.

CAS509 Santa Cookies
I love bling, so I decided to use it as embellishment for my holiday gift bag, re-purposed from a snack from a coffee store. Fussy cut my stamped image of a festive mouse peeking behind cocoa, with a plate of cookies for Santa. Finished with large chocolate bar and a woven moss green ribbon tie. Here's Santa Cookies

Thanks, Misti. We had a power outage for awhile (Winter storm here) so my card was made in two sessions. Hope the heat and light stays on now!

Don't faint. Five hundred and something CAS challenges and this might be the first time I've created a card for it. I'm not a CAS girl...My original plan was even more CAS, but I think it needed the blue texture and the starfish.

Here is my card with a pearl: CAS509 Beauty of the Season by lovinpaper - at Splitcoaststampers
I like the history lessons that are mixed in with a few challenges. Glad your son enjoyed branching out and learning all he could about one of his lessons. I home educated also, and it makes you feel great when something you introduced clicked and they took off and soared with the topic.
