CAS357 Wheel of Colour - Dec 28, 2015
________________________________________
Challenge Title: Wheel of Colour
Hostess: Kia (kiagc)
Keyword: CAS357
Date: The final week of 2015
Hello to you all. I hope everyone survived and enjoyed your Christmas. We are now heading into the final week of 2015, and all I can do is shake my head and wonder wherever the time has gone.
For the CAS or Clean and Simple Weekly Challenge: For this challenge I picked a different kind of colour wheel. The Colour Wheel of Life
To make it easier to see the wheel right click on the image and save it to your desktop so you can enlarge.
This wheel follows the progression of the Seasons and their associated colours and the qualities they bring to life. The wheel is read in the counter clockwise order. Start with the Winter Solstice and follow the wheel to the left. The second inner ring shows the days of the year and the third inner ring shows how the colour changes progress through the greens of spring, the yellows of summer, and the reds of autumn. Today we are going to use the Analogous Colour Scheme and that is find your birth colour from the second inner wheel and use it along with the colours to the right and left of that colour on your creations. As an example, my birth date is June 17th so my birth colour is Olive and my secondary colours are Yellow and Green. I used the Olive as a dominate colour and yellow to support with green and white as accents. Along with white, you can use black or grey for accents. I also used the bold words in my card design background Awakening, Enlightenment and Renewal.
Please remember, Clean and Simple and the meaning is subject to interpretation. Lydia has said that there is no right or wrong way to participate in a challenge, and we at the DT hope everyone will join in and have fun sharing their creations with all of us who so love to see them.

Wow! This is fascinating! I was so happy to see that the colors responding to my birth date and the analogous sections were also some of my favorite color combinations...now I know why.
Thank you for jump starting my imagination for the New Year. Can't wait to get finished with real world work so I can begin creating.
CAS357: By our birthdays we were to find our color on this wheel and then use the two colors on either side of it to make a card: Mine were: Amethyst; Violet and Red.
TLC566: We were to use half a die cut. I used two half of scallops, in two sizes for this card.
