I decided to tackle this theme for my TLC972 faux watercolor challenge, doing fall leaves in three colors. I love when the leaves are all pretty yellows and oranges, such a beautiful time of year!
I do not have lots of dies. What I have done and it is great, I purchase 3D stickers for what ever cards I want to make. Take Fall, ,I had some calendars that have beautiful colored photographs of birds on trees and I die cut the parts I want for my card, then glue it to the front of my card with score tape you can also use foam tape to give it a 3d effect. Then I emboss the base of the card the front panel only back panel is not embossed. I arrange and add all kinds of stickers for the theme I select, you can let your imagination go wild. I also add a title, like happy thanksgiving or a sticker that is nicely made with thought or even a religious saying that you want to impart. On the very back of the card my sticker states "Made with Love" and I sign or initial my first name next to it. So I am using dies to cut, embossing to enhance, and maybe accents to embellish and various stickels sparkly glue to enhance what I want to focus on. Inside I glue an etched card that paper companies sell for inserts to wedding cards in cream or white then at the bottom I put a cute small sticker that goes with my theme. One card I used an oval die to cut a piece of gold paper to surround the bird. Like I said don't be afraid to experiment, now you see little words carved in wood, paint them and stick one in the front the $ store and hobby lobby have lots of goodies to play with.l
