Winging It with Birds, Bees and Butterflies

Hello all ... Kia here with this week's Clean and Simple Challenge.
When viewing the calendar to pick a challenge date, I noticed June 20th was available, so I dove in for this date. The first day of summer, and for the first day of summer I thought we could celebrate with the birds, bees and butterflies.

And just because this is what I do:

Summer brings with it not only hot lazy days, but the buzz of a bee going from flower to flower, pollinating as they go. They are nature's invaluable little helpers and play an important role in the production of crops for human and animal consumption.

Butterflies are the other pollinators well worth welcoming into our gardens. Even a small window box will attract the beautiful butterfly.

And finally, birds. They are important as they keep the system in balance; they pollinate plants, they disperse seeds, they scavenge carcasses and recycle nutrients back into the earth.

THE MORE YOU KNOW.

But most important, I think our "winged friends" inspire the creative side for each of us, so have some fun today and "Wing It."

Kia- excellent challenge, love your description of the reason for these wonderful creatures! I went with all three- a bird, a butterfly and bees- and used a honeycomb embossing folder for a border. Background is pieced paper strips. Here's 3 B's.

This will be my first time to enter a challenge. I have made this card for my Audubon Society to use to thank our program speakers. So more of them are in the works.

Crazy Birds Again!

Thanks for the reminder of the beauty and importance of bees since the bumblebees are loving my St John's Wort bushes and flying all around me as I watered them this morning. Here's my card. Sorry...but any excuse to use the Crazy Birds set is going to make me go there every time! Ha!
