Here we go!!!!!! (January thread)
Okay ladies---Christmas is over, the tree is coming down (I hope!!), and it's time to start thinking about 2006!! We hope to keep everyone on track this year with regular reminders throughout the month so you have a little less stress in your life come Christmas 2006.
I've updated the original thread with all the participants (120 of us!). So far, 5 over-achievers have finished their January cards already. Our first prize went to sleepyinseattle (Joanne) for getting the January cards done first.
Thanks to all of you who have sent prizes or $$ donations for mailing---keep 'em coming! We'll send a little something to the person who gets their cards done first each month. Whoever gets their cards done during the month (for that month) will be put in for a monthly drawing, too. That's 2 monthly prizes---what fun! For every month you complete, your name will go in the hat for the big prize basket on December 1. And one more prize for those of you who complete EVERY month's cards (a little bonus there!).
Be sure to post your creations to this thread starting in January. Label your upload with CCC06 so it's easier to find in the gallery.
If you signed up for the challenge & haven't gotten an email message from us, PM me or Linda (broomski) to make sure we have the correct email address.
Also, if you still would like to donate prizes or $$ for mailing (I do have a Paypal account if you'd prefer to do that), PM me for my mailing address. Donations of items you have laying around (SU or non-SU), handmade items (cards or non-cards), or anything else related to stamping is great! The more prizes that are donated, the more we can give out!
Let's get our you-know-whats in gear and start creating!!! Have fun with it!!!
Lisa & Linda

I was just wondering if we're supposed to post the cards even if we get them done waaaay early. I'm planning on getting all cards done by June 1st because I have a big overseas move at the end of June and won't be settled for a couple of months after that. So, I'm doing Jan/Feb cards now, March/April in Feb, etc. But I don't want to win all of the early bird prizes, that would be not cool.
Just thinking.....
Also, here's my January card, I made 10 of them. It will be available pending approval.

I love everyone's cards so far!!! Too cute!
As for getting cards done for future months......go ahead! We'll still put you in the drawings for getting that month done & the end of year but you won't be eligible for the "first done" prizes each month.....just wouldn't be fair to everyone else. If you have time---more power to you! I'm jealous!
Have a great week & we hope to see more cards soon.

January 2006 CCC is done!
I wasn't sure I could do this - not being the organized type. I sat down and did my January cards on Dec. 28th and then while doing a valentine swap I saved time by using the same stamp (BG word stamp) for both valentines and Christmas and made a few extra! I will post them tomorrow!!!!

I had so much time to stamp this past week that I stamped cards for January, February, March AND April!!! I redid my January card using different colors because I really didn't like the original idea I had.
My camera's memory card is full, so once I clear that up I'll post my January card.
I'm losing interest in Christmas card stamping, so I'll take a break for now.

January cards done!
I got my January cards done. http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...96031&cat=4653 I made 15 toward my total goal of 90 (which I haven't posted before) My plan is 10 a month for 10 months (which I know is 100..but that will give me a few extra too). So I have 1/2 of my Feb. cards done too.
I think from now on when I make a card I should make one and then take a picture of it and decide if I like it. It looks so plain....I should have used a background stamp...but when I was making it I liked it. I still do...but it could have been better. Happy to have the first of these done!!
Loving this challenge!

I've Met the January Challenge!
Here are my cards for January - http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...500&ppuser=646
I managed to use up a stash of snowflake brads! I really like the clean simple lines and it didn't take too long to do at all. I made 15 since I was on such a roll!

I have finished some cards. Two of them I just changed the color scheme from some I made last year (but really like) and the 3rd I have cased the idea from somebody but I dont remember where (if you were my inspiration thank you)
At this point in time the photos are still pending. But check out my gallery later.

Here are my 10 for April. My boys were wonderful and "babysat" their little sister so I could stamp this weekend. (Basically it was too cold out and they had "nothing to do" LOL)

well my first 12 are done as of last night, but don't know when I'll be able to get them scanned in.
I'm out of work for a while due to some icky health problems that have been plaguing me since last May, and the scanner that I use is at work. So I have set the cards in a nice safe (hopefully! ) place that I will remember by November, and I'll scan them when I can. I made sure that they were nice and vintage and full of distressing and ribbons and stuff that I just love!
Everyone has done such a beautiful job so far! Doesn't it feel great to get a little baby step down the road?! What a wonderful idea!

Aaargh....
I've been without my computer for a few days and now that the internet is back up... my other computer that has my easy share camera attached to it, won't connect to the internet. I have never uploaded a card before but as soon as I can get it working I will. I got my ten cards done this past weekend. I can't wait to send out cards this year, since I already have more made than for this past Christmas.
I'm thinking I can add the link now if I can figure it out.... This was my first time ever uploading anything and I tried to crop it first, so it doesn't look all that great. Oh well, hope everyone enjoys it!
//www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=202048
Good luck everyone and have fun!
