Ilt's 9:15 am and we are getting another snowfall in Central Wisconsin. Some say up to 8" before it decides to more on..lol Think I should be doing Christmas cards today too.
It would be a great day to make Christmas cards with all the snow we're getting. Sure wish I didn't have to go to work. I'm so tired of the cold and snow. At least my puppy likes the snow.
I am just checking on one thing... we are eligible for the drawing if we have our cards done and posted to our gallery, with a posting in this thread, all by End of Day Pacific Time on 3/31? What is the deadline? I am cutting it very close this month but planning to be done. I just want to know what date and time and time-zone I am shooting for

Thanks and blessings, Lela
Post to the proper thread (the one for each month)
by midnight of the last day of the month
I double check on the first so I don't' miss any that stay up later than me! LOL
WOW! Lots of cards geting made. Going to a retreat this weekend. Making my cheerleader cards for the upcoming WRAK cards for troops challenges and then working on Christmas cards and catching up on swaps. Hope I can get it all done. I always seem to over plan for weekends.
I am getting so many great ideas for future Christmas cards from all of you. I think I have enough ideas for the next couple of years and I know there's more coming.
I'll have to work hard the last three days of the month to get mine done! I'm working nights all weekend and sleeping monday, so only 3 days to work on my cards.

Are you working on your March Christmas Cards? Are they already done? If so, you can always work months ahead :-)
Unfortunately, I will not be joining you today. We've had thunderstorms (and thundersnow) since about 4 this morning so my laptop will not be plugged in. My granddaughter and I will be working behind the scenes on several projects today.
Happy Stamping and Merry Christmas!

It feels good to have my March and April cards done. I just have to remember to make a birthday card before tomorrow. Hoping to start my May cards this weekend. Today would be the perfect day to be making cards. It's cold and gloomy and looks like it might snow again. I might get to see my lawn by June.
I am getting there.. I have been making cards like crazy that I sent in to Operation Write home and then I had a procedure done (Novasure).. and so I am slowly but surely getting my cards done and will have all 10 done by the 31st.
I have completed all the cards to meet my goal of 10.. I ended up with 12 cards... I was on a roll.
I have posted cards just like the ones I made in my gallery already and hate loading duplicates.. so I am just posting this one link to my blog where I posted the last of the ones that met my goal and a picture that shows all 12 that I completed.
Here is my first March card - should be in the gallery now. TSG 91 and CCC11 by rollyfan at Splitcoaststampers but if now, it's available on my blog - there are a few more deets there, too. Basically a link to the sketch I used.
Question - Once I get my 6 for March posted I'm going to post Jan and Feb as well. Do those go here, since the months are past, or do they go in the Jan and Feb threads?

I'm beginning to think that we're not going to have Spring here. Our temps are above zero but below freezing. I'm tired of snow and cold. However, it does make it easier to make Christmas cards.

please put the cards in the thread that they are for. I go back to look for late ones!
There is one Christmas Carol that has always baffled me. What in the world do leaping lords, French hens, swimming swans, and especially the partridge who won't come out of the pear tree have to do with Christmas? Today I found out at a ladies luncheon its origin. From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics.
It has two levels of meaning:the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember.
* The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.
* Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments
* Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.
* The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.
* The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.
* The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.
* Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit - Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.
* The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.
* Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit-Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.
* The ten lords a-leaping were the ten commandments.
* The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.
* The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed.
