Sounds like you just needed to rest last night, Soni.

Staying home, huh? What are you going to do?

I have what was SUPPOSED to be Pork riblets to do something with. Basically, it's that little tip flap from off the end of a rack of short ribs. Not impressed. I'm going to see if any of it is salvageable for Stir-Fry pork and then put the rest in the big electric roaster to cook down for pulled pork. Did I mention there is 10 pounds!
That's a lot of pork.

Trying to decide what to cook on Sunday. We are celebrating my DGS's 12th birthday which is actually the 19th. He wanted some big building thing that my DD got for him, but she told him that he's have to contribute some of his $$ because it is really expensive, so I am giving him $$ that he can use against that which is just the same as if I helped my DD buy it for him. He LOVES to build.

I was making a journal for Susan as a thank you for the baby swap, opened up the Garden Slab from DCWV and guess what fell out! I was so thrilled. It's the little things hehe
Glad that it finally turned up.

I saw him on Ellen the other day. He's lost quite a bit of weight. He was on with someone he had been working with that lost about 150 pounds. Richard said even though he teaches people about healthy eating and healthy living, he's only human and sometimes things get out of control and he'll put on some pounds. He was very emotional about it all.

Hope you're finally able to make it out of the house and go do some shopping. Snow is fun, but after awhile it's nice to get out.

Please excuse me butting in.

Does anyone live near Charlotte NC or between Atlanta and Charlotte?

We are headed out tomorrow for a cheerleading competition and just wanted to check on the roads.

He eats just about anything that I fix. It's the DGD that is such a problem. I try to fix something that they both will eat. And now with church not being over until 3:30, I really need to make something in the crock pot.

He loves K'Nex and stuff like that. He has some huge things that he has put together. That's the way Christian is. He even takes them and will build stuff that he thinks up.

I have a friend who's husband is in Charlotte, NC. Heard that the roads were bad, but can't say for sure. She was hoping he'd be able to come home on Friday.

I told Mark that I was planning to go to get Mom and go shopping for a bit for tomorrow. He said for me to not plan on it. Oh well .... such is life. I'm good here at home.

I resize all of my pictures to 640x480 or so. My big camera has different dimensions, so those end up 640x427 or something. I do resize everything, though.... even my phone pictures have to be resized.

I have successfully removed the sewing foot and unit of my embroidery machine to put on the embroidery foot. Got that foot on, too. Next step .....

Yeah ... resizing is a pretty basic and necessary tool for pictures on the computer.

hi all....it's pretty chilly out here....37*! I went to the chiropractor today...feel better. Then got home and we went out for Chinese...that was good. Got home and went out again to town hall. We are buying bricks with names for the memorial that will be built this year near town hall. Now, I'm trying to decide what I want to do....I hear that Jack is taking a nap in the living room. I think he has a cold....he keeps coughing and blowing his nose. I know it's not allergies....

I just checked, it looks like our high will be around 20, and that is not until Monday... single digits around 5 at night...high in the teens for the next few days... flurries over the weekend, 30 - 40 % chance of snow Sunday Night and Monday...
I did not know the temps were going to be so low for this long of a stretch...Brrrr

Soni, sorry I lost you when we were talking. My phone died. Oh well, I needed to get that wood cut up and brought in anyway hehe

Guess I won't tell you we should be in the upper 30's again tomorrow and 40 for Sat/ Sun - but then we are suppose to take a nose dive again. That's why I want to go into town tomorrow. Nice day to be out. Don't like going to town on Sat. Too many nuts on the road on the weekend. I like to go while they're at work.

By the time I got the riblets trimmed down, I have a big dutch pot full of the riblets and about 4 Cups (cooked down) of Szechwan (sp) pork for stir fry later. I'm doing taco salad for supper.

Hope Jack doesn't come down with something really bad. Just seems like when you get these things this time of year they don't like to go away. And this crazy weather isn't helping.

Suppose to hit 40 here tomorrow. School finally starts back ... Tuesday. It's kind of amazing that the city was SO paralyzed this time. This hasn't happened due to snow in a very long time.

My first thought would be Altering, thinking of your journals, even your tags... you are good with a vintage look or even "collage-y" type...Iknow that is not really a word... even victorian...

is there a term for collective artful type??

I can say, you are not a cutesy designer...

hope that helps...
