Jess~

Do you use SU's Customer Manager to send out the minis, etc? I never have in the past cuz most of my customers were local & I delivered the minis to them. Now I have some customers alot further away (as in across the county), & I can't get my Customer Manager thingy set up.

However, over the course of the day, we found out that a whole buncha the family doesn't like turkey. Really???

How was your Thanksgiving?
I think with extended family gatherings there is always one to have some drama. At my cousin's wedding it was my great aunt. Oh well. I'm glad you got to see your kids. And crazy about not liking turkey.

My thanksgiving was fine. I worked from 8-4:30 and then I came home. Nothing special, but I was fine with it. I think other people were more bothered than I was.

No I haven't used it. I just order them and give the minis out in my class.

I guess you're right about the family drama. I just think it's sad cuz life
is way too short to make an issue out of something that shouldn't be an issue. The thing that happened, happened to a bunch of us, but the rest of us took it in a whole different context & moved on. It wasn't a personal issue for the rest of us. The result is the person with the issue didn't spend that family time together, cuz that's what they chose.

Kelly & I were particularly surprised to hear how many of Jerry's family doesn't like turkey. Huh??? To each their own, but we think they're crazy. On the upside, more turkey for us!!!

Me thinks the Mom in alot of your friends/co-workers didn't like the idea
of you spending Thanksgiving alone. What it comes down to is if that worked out OK for you, then YAY!!! I woulda rather you didn't spend the rest of the day alone, but I'm glad you were OK with it.

I know. It comes down to figuring out what the kids want the most, that
fits within our budget. I've already come to the realization that we can't get everything on their lists.

Jess~

I'm SO glad we got to chat, even for just a little while. I hope you've been able to make the drastic work schedule change without too much of an issue.

I'm off to bed pretty soon, so I'm sayin' good night now.

Good night my Lovely HYENas...wherever you are...sweet dreams!

I was reading over that earlier today. It looks like there are higher point allowances and a greater focus on non processed foods. Things that are more natural have lower point values and the things that are more processed have a higher point value.

Only extended family?!?!?! My immediate family gatherings have a drama king. He didn't even come to Thanksgiving and still caused drama and hurt feelings throughout the week.

I used to use it all the time. Wish I could help you, but since I can't see it anymore I don't think I would remember enough to advise you. Once you've done it one time, though it's really simple. But I do remember not really understanding it at first.

I just heard about that today too. I guess learning a whole new system might be a good way to get me focused in again, but I just don't have the time this month to really get into it.

Finally found and booked a venue for my uncle's 90th bday party. It's only 4 weeks from tomorrow - acccckkkkk! Good thing I found a place that has on-site catering. I'm ordering photo invites tonight and will probably pay for 2nd day air so I can get them here and then out in the mail to everyone!!! I can't believe I'm doing this concurrently with all the regular Christmas busy-ness! I've hardly done any Christmas shopping at all yet!

Yikes!

Every year I say I am going to make the next Christmas season less stressful...hasn't happened yet. This year though I will be home and I have basically finished shopping and given my gifts already to my family so maybe it will be less hectic.

Here's hoping. It sounds like you're off to a good start with gifts already given to your family.

Oh Jen!

I don't know the deets, but I'm so sorry that you had so much drama & sadness with your family over theThanksgiving holiday. It shouldn't have to be that way.

Thanks! Did you ever have problems with your customers not getting the minis, etc? I've heard of that happening more often than not. I wish we would've talked about this alot sooner. Too late now for the cut-off on this time for Customer Selector. I guess I'll wait for the hub-bub of the 2
big promos ending & the new preorders for demos to die down before I try
to get someone from DS to walk me thru it.

I totally understand the extra burden of another dog at a time when you have alot of other stuff going on.

Kel has slacked off on going to the meetings for the past month or so...she says it's closer to 2 months, but I don't think it's quite that long.
Anyway, she was sick at one point & not up to going to the meeting, plus Jeff & Kim were slacking too...either not going, or only going for the weigh-in & not staying for the meetings. Considering that Kel was traveling a good little distance to meet them @ their meeting location, she
got kinda bummed & ticked about it, so she's been skipping the meetings lately. She decided to find meetings closer to us & found out there's a place that has daily meetings, actually sometimes 3X a day, & it's really pretty close to our house. She just needs to get herself to one there. Probably this week. That way she can get herself back in a groove & also get the new point-figure-outer-thingy too.

Random info...

It was 100 degrees where my sister is in Australia over the weekend...only expected to be in the 80's this week. Really??? This is SOOOOOOOOOO opposite of what I'm used to her having, weather-wise. She's spent the past 20-plus years in WY, where they have winter for about 5-6 months.
Her winter in Australia seemed to be about a month, & barely went below 30 degrees.

I will go back & find a pic of the incredibly beautiful lavender/purple flowered trees that she sees on her daily walks now...but not right now.

Ca-raaazzzzyyyy that you're having to be workin' on this now, when it's all holiday, all the time.

I'm really glad that you got your venue handled, & that they have on- catering to help you out.

I have ZERO Christmas shopping done. Does that make you feel any better?
