That sounds like quite a bit to me.

I did! I got online at 5am and I got a 50 inch tv and GPS. Then when he was a little more awake we went to Kohls together. We got some necesities like socks and chons, some mugs and a gift for my mom.

Not to bad. What are chons? I googled it and got that it is an egyptian god of the moon, a dog, hollywood's rising star and a korean karate place. Somehow, I'm thinking none of those are what you got.

It sounds like a lot, but when you see the mass of boxes that have filled my dining room and entry, you realize it is a small dent of what I need to accomplish. It was definitely time consuming. I spent several hours just fluffing branches and putting lights on one tree.

Time to get busy. I said I would at 10:30 and that has come and gone. I was eating breakfast at 10:30 though. Gotta have energy, right?

Have a great day. So glad it is Saturday and there is still another day to the weekend.

Outside next, then swap out the dishes for the winterberry, unpack the Christmas books and I'm done. I don't feel like it is too decorated. I have about a dozen nativities out, which means that 16 aren't coming out this year. I learned from last year to only have one displayed in any given area, no matter how long the shelf.

I want to see pictures of your nativities.

I can't decide if I want to get all of mine out this year or not.

I will have to take some pictures. I've to get more from other countries the last few years. My favorite has to be the Willow Tree one. I have all the pieces for that, unless they added something this year but after an ox and goat, what's left? The only countries I have so far are Guatemala, Israel (2), and Thailand. I looked every year an Albuquerque for a Navajo set, but nothing I saw really struck me.

You know what is funny? I was thinking today how the sets that I like most are the ones where Mary is holding Jesus vs. being in a manger.

Everything that is going to be put out this year is where it needs to be. I'm going to run to the store and either get supplies to make a wreath, although honestly, I'm hoping there is one made that I like and can buy for our door.

While disappointing that there aren't any surprises, kind of good because you know she'll like what you got.

I hadn't put them away yet and they were on my dresser and she walked by and then asked me if I could please put them somewhere so maybe she would forget about them. LOL

I don't have the Willow Tree one yet. I have several from Brazil, Venezuela, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Mexico, Germany and Israel.

It is a fun collection to have and fun to know someone else with one too.

The clay-looking nativity is from Guatemala. One picture is what is on top of the piano. I love the Jim Shore with Mary riding the donkey. The other is also Jim Shore, I'm thinking they are about 12"-15" tall. Love the story that is shown on the robes.

The Jim Shore angel with the wire skirt is what a friend gave me for my early b-day/Christmas present this year. The metal nativity is one from Thailand. The last picture is what is on one of our bookshelves. The Willow Tree figures are about a foot tall. The other angel is another Jim Shore that lights up and the Bethlehem scene in the center rotates while music plays.

The last one I took a picture of is the Willow Tree one that is my favorite. It is a gloomy day here so not the best for picture taking. This set is on top of our entertainment center. I would get out the step stool to get a closer picture but do you really want to see the dust bunnies?

So today at lunch for some reason Trevor and playing in his band came up and I mentioned that he was playing bass but that he doesn't have a bass amp. My boss gives me this funny look and then proceeds to tell me that just on Friday they donated to Goodwill her sons bass guitar and amp. WHAT??????????? Don't you just hate it when stuff like that happens??

Sarah is getting a laptop for Christmas and of course I really don't know what to buy, but I know my price range. So yesterday I'm looking around online and find that Costco has one for $499 that seemed decent. But do I order it? Of course not and naturally now it is out of stock.

I did however find (and actually order) Trevor a 22' TV for his birthday for $169.99.

I need to make some gingerbread cookies. We always have a treat on Monday night and rotate whose turn it is. The one who has tonight forgot and she is busy with homework. I gave her some options and this is what she went with. I think we've only missed one night in forever and my son still grumbles about it. He really needs to get over it.

How was your Thanksgiving?
*waves back*

Our Thanksgiving was very nice, albeit there was some drama with
1 of Jerry's cousins. Really??? She's the oldest of those cousins now. Really??? I guess the most important thing is that I got to spend Thanksgiving with Jerry, Kelly & Chris, Jeff, (Kim felt she needed to be with her Grandma), & the rest of Jerry's family. The company was very good, & the food was very good.

However, over the course of the day, we found out that a whole buncha the family doesn't like turkey. Really???

How was your Thanksgiving?
