just sold my copics! A local friend bought them for her daughter. I sold them cheaper than I could have but I helped out a friend, I made a little money for my trip to Atlanta next weekend and got rid of something

I is a tired chickie! No sleeping in for me this morning, as my family decided we would attend early service, which was at 8:30 this morning. Then to the parentals because Mom wanted to show me the two cards for her next stamp club. Right now, SIL2's mother is visiting to help SIL with Sunbeam and the other three, but when she leaves in a week, my Mom is going so that they have help for another 10 days or so. But her flight back is only the day before or day of her stamp club (I can't remember which), so she wanted me to know what to do just in case she is delayed. And then SIL1 came over with Handsome, Munchkin and Poppet, as she needed Mom's & my assistance. SIL1's parents are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, so she was doing them a memory scrapbook and needed help designing/cutting/assembling pages. It is mostly all done except for a few bits of writing she is waiting on from other family members and then there are blank photo spaces so they can add photos from the party they are going to have. And then I went back to church with the parentals, as there was a youth event on and we were helping to serve the dinner - that was a busy hour! And then back to the parentals to eat myself (everyone else had pizza, I ended up having chinese) and now I am home. So much for the quiet day I had planned to have getting some stuff done! My to-do list for tomorrow is somewhat formidable. My kitchen needs tidying, I need to make 3 Easter cards (I'd have done them today, but since the recipients were physically present, that would have been difficult!), I haven't made hot cross buns for myself yet, I need to get an assignment done, I have to go to the bookstore to pick up something that came in & to buy "new baby" presents for Sunbeam & her siblings, I need to buy eggs and fruit and get them prepared for Sunday as I am responsible for bringing the fruit tray and deviled eggs and I am pretty sure I have forgotten a couple of things on that list! I think I am going to end up having an early night tonight and head to bed with a book. The last thing I need is to try to do all that on not enough sleep.

Not sure what to say about this: https://ca.celebrity.yahoo.com/news/...182358065.html
I'm not sure I can decide if this is a great idea or a terrible idea.

the thin mount kind is for when you have a rubber stamp that is on wood and you pull it off the wood and the foam still sticks to that so the thin foam is what you stick to the old foam.

the second one on your list is for when you have neekid rubber with no foam on it that you want to make into a cling stamp.

But, most of my are the bare rubber so the second one. is what i would need right and the EZ mounted would not stick to the clear block premitly right?

correct, so depending on how many pieces of rubber you have that fill pieces of cardstock is how many sheets you will need. ( and you will need a little space between the rubber to put the scissors blade too)

And the clear block acts like a removable block so the stamp does not stick permanently.

Not snow, yuck. It's been cold here (yes 20-30s again after our 83 day!) but luckily the snow has been staying a couple hours north of us.

We are essentially having typical temperamental April weather I think. Yesterday it was warm enough to be out with no coat of any kind, overnight we got snow, today our high is only around 0C, early in the week we are supposed to get more snow, then later in the week supposed to be warm enough again for no coats and lots of rain predicted.
I do like this time of year though (and a good chunk of fall) because it tends to be warmer/warmish during the day (aka as jeans & tees weather!), but then cool at night. I can throw open the windows at night, and have a nice cool room but snuggle under warm covers - I sleep best that way. I cannot sleep when it is warm, and had that problem even as a child.

We spent an hour last night hunkered down in the master bedroom closet, waiting out a tornado warning. Got up to one of the most beautiful sunny days you can imagine. Typical Spring weather in the deep South. Pollen is just starting to get crazy. I am using Flonase and taking Zyrtec or lemon/lavender/peppermint capsule every day, hoping to fight it off.

Getting ready to go watch Lyla hunt eggs. She will be 6 in June, so we have to enjoy while we can. GD1 turns 10 today! (she is the one who was 6 when we got her)

Afternoon. Waiting for my kitchen space to start cooking my items for tomorrow. The girls took it over- one making no bake cookies and the other playing with kinetic sand.

Somehow I got rooked into making three things, before I know the kids would be with me.

Oy. Errands took much longer than I thought, but at least they are done. Have had dinner (must admit I cheated and bought a ready-store-made salad & some cold meat), and my cakes are in the process of cooking. Need to work on the Easter cards in-between checking on them/switching out pans etc, then mixing up icing & decorating. I have like little mini-bundt pans and am baking cakes in those (and also going to try baking little "cupcakes" in my peeps pan courtesy of Imogene. I've done chocolates in the pan, but this is the first time I've tried anything baked.). I plan to ice them in green icing, top with coconut to look like a nest and then put some jelly beans in the middle. Then I have to wrap them up etc, as that is what I am giving the nieces/nephew for Easter treats (the far-away ones had to make do with bags of chocolate eggs).
I also need to get the eggs boiled. Making deviled eggs, but figured I would boil them all today and then put them together tomorrow at Mom's as I will likely have 3 hours or so between church and dinner.
Need to get a baby card made this week too. I picked up some cute clothes for baby Sunbeam (40% off rack, then I had a 30% off coupon on top of that! Score for me!), and then books for the other three. Need to get a card made and then send that package postal.

Wish I could join you! I love colouring eggs, but haven't done it in years!
I need to find my good ukrainian egg supplies and find somewhere in town to buy the proper dies. I would love to make those again.

It is very sad. My little chocolate bundt cakes rose above the edge of the pans and I have had to chop them off to make them level enough to turn out onto a plate. But the pieces are too thin to store or they will just go crusty and hard. So I had to eat them.

I am banging my head. I totally spaced on buying a can of plain vanilla frosting and a small bottle of green food colouring. I don't "NEED" it, but it would have been so much easier than having to make up a batch of proper icing and dig up my good cake decorating colours - which are somewhere in my kitchen, but I'm not entirely sure where.
I also forgot to buy paprika for the deviled eggs.

I think I am just going to decorate the peeps by doing a very thin icing & pouring over them. IF I had actually used my noggin, I'd have bought coloured sugar.
I am hoping I have some kind of sprinkles in the cupboard which I can use for eyes.

Kelly, I love your peeps!!

Tomorrow I am going to make Easter Bread (Family recipe) the kind that you put colored eggs in the braid.

I don't think I have had it in well over 35 years. The last time I ate it my Grandmother made it.

I never made it before, I hate making bread that has to rise, and then form it. I LOVE my bread machine way to much! That is how I make bread ALL the time.

Now see, I don't mind making bread that has to rise at all. I make it on a semi-regular basis.
I will say though, that growing up my mother had a semi-commercial bread mixer, and boy, do I miss that thing! It could mix up a quadruple batch of dough in no time flat. Was awesome.
These days, if I am just doing cinnamon buns, rolls or bread for me, I only make a single batch. If I want to make some to take to someone/somewhere, I will usually make a double. I actually don't mind the kneading of the dough etc. What I DO hate is the cleanup afterwards. If I could have a robot or something to do that afterwards, I'd be happy to make bread on a very regular basis.

My mashed potatoes are done, ready for the crock pot tomorrow. I tasted them, reminds me of the twice-baked potato filling...delicious. The rice is cooked, just need to "glorify" it after I whip the cream. Then have to make the scalloped corn after church...hopefully heading to the early service

I wasn't expecting the kids to be home this weekend so my plans are all in disarray.

I see they didn't dig out the baskets before going to bed...wonder where they ended up?!
