We had a beautiful fall like weekend, in the 60s. The heat and humidity as usual are heading our way again.

I saw the most beautiful rainbow yesterday that I'd ever seen, actually the second wasn't so bad either. They are indescribable. Wish I could have taken a picture of them.

Nice and cool this morning, so finally have been able to open up the windows and let some fresh air blow through. High for today isn't predicted to be very high, so might be able to do it again this evening too. Did not sleep well last night though, and I could very cheerfully go back to bed instead of having to go in to work........

We had a nice cool morning as well, although supposed to be hot by tonight and humid again by tomorrow.

Tami's worst nightmare!

Actually, I don't think I could handle work at such a place either.

But they are pretty! I sure wouldn't be able to wear my contacts there. It would be all over my hands and into my eyes. Yuck.

Browsing through pinterest for 50th anniversary cards. Really wish I would have bought the SU Blooming Heart Die. Some beautiful and elegant cards made with that cutout done in gold.

If I had a picture I'd do something like this, but sadly no picture or way to get one at this point:

Misse, what about something like this? Probably you could find a heart thing something like that at Ms or something I would imagine. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/69735494202332159/
or maybe something like this:
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/69735494206129933/ I think if you changed up the colours and maybe did like whites/golds/vellum & maybe a pop of red, a more elegant embossing folder it could look quite impressive.

Do you have the SU! owl punch? There are some nice ones with it, that again, I think if you changed up the papers could come out quite elegant. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/69735494201532310/

Maybe this would work in different colours? Definitely like the pearl look.

What if you used a plain heart, cut the frame opening and then used blooms to fill the edges?

This is one I case'd for my parents' 50th Anniversary. Of course I can't find the pic of the card I made. It must be on my other laptop.

50th Anniversary Card by enjoycraftaction - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

I made a wedding card using teal and black with those black owl punch art pieces. I really liked how that one turned out. I think it's on my phone so I'll see if I can post it.

Here's a cool one I was thinking of making for a family friend's 50th in Oct...using gold leaves for the heart:

https://wrightcrafty.wordpress.com/2...rt-with-doves/

Maybe I should put roosters instead of doves because she loves roosters. lol

I need a dartboard. Where I can put up pictures of people who are annoying me and then throw darts. There are a few people in my life recently for whom this would be a most satisfying thing to do.

I like that one - very elegant, but very easily adaptable to any colour scheme, and probably almost any mediumish-sized heart stamp or die.

I've decided that I need two of me. One to go to work, one to stay home, clean the house, play with my hobby stuff, and sleeeeeeeeepppppppp. I am very sleepy lately. I don't think I am necessarily sleeping all that well at night.

Oh, and if someone could send the cleaning fairy to sort out my fridge, make room in there for tonight's dinner leftovers, pack tomorrow's lunch, and put away said leftovers, that would be great.

Ugh. I primarily use my tablet for internet things these days, and use the laptop for internet things only when I absolutely have to. I haven't had to use it for a while, and I had forgotten just how bad it is. I've spent the last hour and a half trying to do something that should have taken 30 minutes, tops. Mostly because of how long the laptop is taking to load and/or connect to anything on the internet.

Yuck. Watching Food Factory while eating dinner. They are showing the making of a chocolate bar - not bad right? Yeah, no. The flavourings added to the chocolate? bacon (yeah, they actually mince the bacon, bake it, cool it & add to the melted chocolate), maple sugar, bonfire smoked salt. It just sounds awful.
But then, I'm not a fan of this bacon in everything trend. I have no desire to try a maple bacon doughnut etc.

Finding chocolate you didn't know you had when you are having a chocolate attack & intense cravings? Priceless.

Back in the '70's we took a vacation out to PA. My parents brought my sis and me to the Hershey Factory. That was when the factory was open of tours. All I remember is the Wonderful smell of CHOCOLATE. AND when I saw those huge containers mixing the chocolate, all I wanted to do was jump in!!!!

Back in "96 for summer break from college classes I wanted to have a little weekend trip. We lived in NJ. I wanted to go to Gettysburg. Booked the room and on the way down I am like hey lets make a trip to Hershey and take a chocolate tour. Hubby was up to it. But buy then the factory was closed and they opened the Hershey Park. Well as adults we were not interested in the "Park".

We took the ride of "how chocolate was made". At the end of the ride they let us off right at the gift shop. Back then the prices were atrocious. I looked at hubby and said we could buy this chocolate cheaper at the grocery store!

Oh Kelly, now I am craving chocolate!

We used to have a Hershey Factory about an hour away from us. The tour was actually in the factory - they basically built it almost as a second story, with viewing windows in the places they were willing for people to see, and then large infographics on the walls in between. It was a great place to go - you could get seconds cheap, and you always got one thing free after going through the factory tour. Was a nice place to take people who were visiting from out of town too - at 1 hour, it wasn't too far away, the tour itself was free, and it was a fun thing to do and most people like chocolate. Sadly, Hershey decided to move the factory to Mexico for cheaper labour costs about 8 years ago. It really hurt the local economy of that small town.

I was just reading the college family fb page. Someone asked what the funniest non-school related question was from your kid. Got my chuckles for the day.

One kid was saying he was screwed if he had to draw in Art History class. The mom commented, it's history, in the past, why would you draw? So after class he said it's in the bag, no drawing. The most common was what's the Netflix password.

Hot & humid here today too. I was at workof course and couldn't check, but I've been told that we went over 40C (104F) with the humidex this afternoon. Even now, at 8:30pm and after sunset, it is still 27C (81F), but 37C (98-99F) with the humidex. Thank goodness for fans & ac.And definitely cooler here earlier in the week. I tossed on a little light sweater the other morning to go to work.

We had temps like that for a few days, now it's been nice and comfortable. After the rain tomorrow it's back to uncomfortable. Hope the rain is only in the morning since I have a wedding to attend in the afternoon. It's downtown so who knows what the parking will be like.

We were supposed to get rain/thunderstorms Wed. night through until early this morning. It rained overnight Wed, then nothing yesterday - which is what made yesterday so humid, since it did rain enough to give everything a soaking, and then it all evaporated when the sun came out. The temp today is about the same as yesterday, but it is much cooler as the humidity is much lower.

Argh. Received an email notification from my media provider that my bill was available. Number was WAYYYYYYY high, so I decided to go check the bill before paying. Multiple attempts at loggin in later, I am now locked out of my account for security reasons and can view diddly squat. Have now been on online chat for 10 minutes with customer support, have tried the username I know I signed up with, the email address that is supposed to be the alternate username, have reset my password twice, and have tried to log in using the username they say I have. No luck. I'm getting a locked account message, they are insisting it is not locked.
