Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you know, I've been trying to write "rec'd" bu each person's name as their cards come in, but not every package has the sender's SCS name on it. If I have your cards and you don't have rec'd by your name, send me a quick post or pm with the name on your package so I can give you credit for getting your cards in.

Thanks so much!

Hey Ladies,

Please don't be upset if my replies seem to be coming a bit slow. Those who've swapped with me before know I have some health issues. Right now, they're all kind-of acting up together and to say I feel sluggish would give me much more speed than I've been feeling. I go for a long overdue treatment next week and one on June 11th which should help tremendously.

Your cards are coming in fast and furious, and as soon as I have them all, I'll turn them right around. Don't worry that they won't get right back to you.

Jeziboo - your cards are adorable. Every card that has come in has been fantastic! I can't wait til you get to see the ones that come back to you.

I'm glad they arrived safe and sound! I've been worrying about doing a swap on this board - everyone is so talented!

Hang in there with your health issues! I'm a disabled vet and when everything acts up I don't get much done either (my "get up and go" gets up and leaves LOL). Crafting is what keeps me sane...

Penny,

Thank you so very much for your service. I'm sorry you were disabled. My son served in Iraq and we were very, very lucky that he came home ok. He was scheduled to go to Qatar, then Kuwait, but the first was canceled and only half his unit went the second time. He's in the PA Army National Guard, but he's been called up so many times in the past year, and now just spent almost a month at Annual Training (he was on the advance team) that his wife sometimes feels like he's active duty. He was one of only two generator repair operators at a base in NYC in the weeks after Hurricane Sandy. He said the conditions there were worse than Iraq.

But I'm rambling. My point with all of this was to say thank you and to let you know you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Ladies, we getting close to the end. If anyone is running into any problems getting their cards mailed by Saturday, please let me know.

Thanks,

Jeziboo,

I've got them! Very, very cute!

Everyone put so much work into their cards. You know how, sometimes, you get that one card back in a swap that you kind-of wonder if the person did it at the last minute or didn't even try? That hasn't happened with this swap. I mean it, they're all really, really great.

I just went through all of the packages and am going to update the first post, but here's everyone I've gotten packages from:

Diane DiMartin
Christy Bush
scrappinbinkle
penny douph
Heather Marshall
Tammy Lewis
Jeziboo
jtrenn
pamper1
loveofsunflowers
stpnlight41
smhtwin

If you still have a package to send, you've still got a little bit of time. I'll send them right back out as soon as I have everyone's cards.

I just heard the weirdest noise behind me. Our computer is in the corner of the dining room opposite a big window. Well, you'd think I'd know the sound by now, but my cat is sitting on the dining room table talking to the birds on the front porch. Not that he's allowed to sit on the dining room table, mind you, but he is, and I guess it's making him use a different "talking to the birds" voice today. It kind-of scared me at first, but we're ok now.

Have a great holiday weekend, everyone. Please take a moment to remember those who have given so much for our country - those who are still living and those who have passed.

Thanks,
Tracy

Hi Ladies,

I'm sorry to report that the Post Office managed to lose one set of cards. KraftyKay mailed her cards about a month ago and still haven't made it to me. In all fairness to her, I want to allow her time to make another set and resend them. As soon as I have them, I'll let everyone know and I'll swap right away and get the cards in the mail.

Thanks for understanding,

Barb-

Your cards are here. And again, we have a set of real winners! They're really, really nice!

They came Sat. and I apologize for not letting you know then, but we were at my granddaughter's first birthday party. It was SO hot and I was feeling so lousy from my Rituxan infusion earlier in the week that I only stayed for about 2 hours then came home and slept pretty much right through yesterday until early this morning when our temperature finally fell back into the 70's. I went through menopause after a hysterectomy in 2006, but ever since, the heat just makes me feel awful.

We're just waiting for Kristina's, and then I'll swap everyone's out and get them back out right away.

JCI,

I'll let you know the minute Kristine's cards arrive and I start swapping. I'm up to my eyebrows in an article for the magazine I write for, so I would have had to wait a few days to swap, anyway.

Hope everyone is doing well,

KRAFTYKAY...THEY MADE IT!!!
Your cards arrived today...all in one piece, they don't even look like someone at the post office stepped on them like so many envelopes seem to these days. And your cards are beautiful. They were worth the wait!

I write for a local magazine called IndependentNEPA Magazine. I've been a freelance writer on and off as my health has allowed for almost 20 years working for a now defunct regional business magazine, one of our local news papers, several of the colleges and universities in our area, as well as area businesses who need writing for their marketing or sales department. It's fun when I'm up to it. This article has been hard because I've been feeling lousy.

I plan to start swapping everything out this evening as I almost have the dining room table cleared off (not a small undertaking!). My story is due Monday, so I may not make it to the P.O. then, and Tuesday I'm back in Philadelphia for another infusion. So most likely, I will mail on Wednesday. If I manage to get them out sooner, I'll let you know.

Thanks for your patience and thanks for all of the really great cards you sent!

Everything is swapped and ready to go to the post office. This is the first swap I've hosted where I actually had to swap things out (my last swap, everybody donated their cards to Operation Write Home). It was a bit more nerve wracking than I though...making sure everyone had the right number cards for the right number group. Of course, it could be the pain medication I'm taking that made it seem more difficult (duh???)

I'll try to get to the post office tomorrow but I really think it will be Wednesday. I didn't get much done one my story over the weekend. Today would have been my mom's birthday. It's the first one since she died last October, and it was harder than I thought it would be. So I have a lot of work to do to get the story written tomorrow.

My husband also took the car apart today to try and fix the cruise control and I've heard WAY too much bad language and grumbling coming from the back yard to think he isn't going to still have work to do tomorrow before we go to Philly on Tues.

I'll let you know as soon as they're postal and THANKS for a great swap,
Tracy

We are postal! Everyone's package was mailed today. I had a few problems with a testy mailman and Tamara, he would not let me put the 50 cents you had coming in your envelopes because he insisted they had to be sealed before he would process them since they were going out of the country (even though they didn't require a custom's form, so I don't get it. I can send it to you if you give me your address.)

I mailed all but one as large envelopes, not rigid, 3/4" or less. Now, somewhere out there, one stinky mail person is going to disagree with me, but I measured each and every envelope. I did most of them, with the exception of the Canadian packages, one who had the wrong zip code and one that needed former postage marked out, at the self-serve machine. I can guarantee you that one of those packages is going to be 3/4 and 1/32nd of an inch, and it's going to be returned, but the change in postage was ridiculous and only one or two people had enough postage to cover the change to "package", which is anything over 3/4". If something does come back, I'll let the person know and I'll cover the cost of resending them.

I think everyone will be really pleased with the cards they get back. Everyone did a fantastic job!

Thanks, ladies!!!!!
