CFC Mission #10 Fayetteville Senior Activity Center
Hi Everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read this post! I am very
excited to get started with this months Card for a Cause sponsored group. This month will be Fayetteville Senior Activity Center. This was suggested by Donna on the suggestion board here at Splitcoaststampers. She has been a part of helping out with the senior center.
I think it would really help boost their moral to know that a complete stranger thought about them and made them a card just for encouragement and hope. I hope that you will join me in this important cause to support and lift up the seniors in the community.
There are no restrictions for your card donations. Anything that you can do
to help and encourage would be much appreciated. There were some suggestions from the director that they could use the following card ideas: Thinking of you, Thank you, Missing you, Welcome and Get Well. Please leave them blank inside. I have a pre-printed message that I stick inside each card. Please try and send an envelope along with your card, if possible.
I'll be sure and update how many cards we have donated. Feel free to
post a link to the cards that you have made so we can all see your work! :0)
Please have your cards to me no later than September 30th.
Send them to this address:
Cards for a Cause #10
5316 25th Ave NW
Gig Harbor , WA 98335
Please do not hesitate to ask questions. Thank you in advance to all
that can participate! I know they will appreciate them dearly. :0) Julie.
I am looking forward to making some cards for this cause - I so love Seniors (especially since I will be one of them soon)! How many did you get for the August cause? Thanks again for all you do Julie!

I love to make cards but no stamping ability. Is it okay if I still make cards and send, even if they are not stamped cards?
Thank you for your time.
Cindy
Julie, I will be sending more cards to you again this month. I just watched the video of the cards from last month and was so tickled in seeing several of my cards. This is a great thing you are doing, not only for the recipiants but for the card makers as well. Making cards is very enjoying to me and I make a whole lot more than I will ever send out. Your work helps me to enjoy my work more. Thanks!!!

PS is it ok to post a link to the video in my card making blog?
Thanks so much for your note. That is so wonderful to hear that you enjoy the videos. It's so incredible to see them all laid out. You just never realize how many there really are until you can see them spread out on a table. It's just so amazing to me to see women come together to help others just because. Of course you can post a link on your blog to the video! I say the more awareness out there the more women who will become part of this wonderful mission! Thank you for the offer to post it! :0) If you could please mention the website to splitcoaststampers or attach a link on your post it would be much appreciated! Thank you for your participation in this mission and the previous mission. Have a fabulous weekend! Sincerely, Julie. :0)

Thank you so much Patricia, Cindy and Nancy!! I am the one who submitted the Senior Activity Center to be considered for Cards for a Cause. There are many seniors in our community who go there every day for a good meal, exercise, art classes, music performances, parties or to visit. Sometimes a senior stops coming if they are sick or sometimes if they are taking care of a spouse or if they are going through a hard time. The director sends out cards to let them know they are missed and that we are thinking of them. So the cards make a great difference! Thank you soooo much!!!
Hi Carla! I received your cards. Thank you so much. You helped to start the mission with a gusto! Your cards are always so cute. I love the hot air balloon card with "The skies the limit". The color and the flowers on the "So Kind" card are beautiful. They are lovely! Thank you so much for your donation to this mission! XOXO, Julie. :0)
Are Christmas cards also acceptable? IF so, I will include them in my package.
I'm still working on my cards. I made a few "Happy Birthday" cards. Next, I will work on "Get Well", "Missing You" and "Thinking of You" cards.
I am glad I am able to use paper with glitter on them as Operation Write Home (formerly Cards for Heroes) cannot accept cards with glitter.
Are Christmas cards also acceptable? IF so, I will include them in my package.
Hi Joan! Thank you so much for donating cards to this mission. I love all the flowers on your cards and the layers. The hugs and kisses one is so darling! What a beautiful group of cards. You helped bring our total to 42 cards donated so far. Thank you for helping out with this mission! God Bless You! Sincerely, Julie. :0)
Thank you so much for the cards that you donated! I just received them today. They are beautiful! I love how you stamped the tree limbs and they carry off the page onto the background. You "Hi" cards are so pretty with the card stock that you chose. The red is beautiful. So stunning! Thank you so much! XOXO, Julie. :0)

I just love your cards! Thanks so much for sending them. I love all the bright colors on them. You also did a wonderful job with some of the more subtle tones. I can't believe the detail in your cards. The "I Love You" card must have taken forever! I love your retro card. It's so cute!!!! Looking forward to showing them on the video. XOXO, Julie. :0)
I received your two boxes of cards today. Wow! You really went to town! Thank you so much. I am hoping to have the video up no later then tomorrow of all the donated cards as well as a total. I can see how much time and effort in the cards you put in by all the attention of detail to the cards. I love the easil and the paint tubes and the message, "Worry not, the world can wait. Take time to recuperate!" The dragon fly cards are so cute. Your happy birthday card with the vase made out of velumn and the stand made out of wire is such a creative idea. You card that says "A Little Nutty" with the nuts and the animal is just the laughter that the seniors need. This is sure to put smiles on their faces! Thank you again for all you time in creating such heartfelt cards. God Bless You! XOXO, Julie. :0)
