2013 CARDS FOR A CAUSE
Hello everyone, I am super excited to be hosting the Cards For A Cause in 2013! I truly believe in the fondations that Cindy has laid for Cards For A Cause. I believe in helping others with words of encouragement or providing cards to others so that they can encourage and reach out. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. It would also be great if you could let me know of any recipients for Cards For A Cause for the coming year. I will post a thread with a list of ongoing "Causes" for 2013. By ongoing I mean they will take cards all year. Some recipients can only take for the month or short term.
If you are new, welcome! So just what is the Splitcoaststampers Cards for a Cause Challenge? It is simply an invitation to create a card and donate it to the "cause of the month". Everyone is invited to play along! To read more click here.

How do I sign up for this again. I was getting monthly e-mails when anyone posted to cards for a cause with Cindy now I get nothing and want to participate again. I like to get the emails so I can be notified each month I am not good at going back to find it.
Just tell me how I can get back in
Wonderful thing you do

Hello,
I would like to join the Cards for a Cause group. Ive looked through the forum and read the types of cards requested. I have a few questions. How do I know what kind of card(s) to make each month? Where do I send the card(s)? Can I send cards other than the monthly topic?
Thanks for getting this forum and project going, Im looking forward to participating!

Roylene, thanks so much for wanting to take part with Cards For A Cause; I appreciate it very much! To answer your questions, each month in our forums there is a list of cards that are needed with the address to whom to send them too. If you have cards that do not fit the monthly topic, they may fit the next months topic, so hold on to them and see. I will post the next months link at the end of each months forum to send you in the right direction at the first of the month. Here is this month's "cause" with all the info about what cards are needed and where to send them. Thanks so much!

I am so happy to have found this cause. I have oodles of cards just sitting in boxes and can now stamp my heart out and know the cards are being put to good use. I have a question...for this month are we making cards for the little ones? Or are the cards given out to families? I'm just trying to get my schemes together and thought I could use some of my character paper if the cards are given to the children. Thanks
Each month at the end of the month, I will post a link at the bottom of the months forum directing everyone to the new months "cause". It will have all the details in the write up.

I received a response back from our March 2013 Forgotten 4 Paws Cause:
"Hi Maggie,
OMG!! We have had over 25+ people send us cards from all over the U.S. It has been phenomenal!! Today, we actually got some from France. They keep coming in. How cool is that? Last count, we were up to 327 cards. It has been an amazing experience and we would love to be the 'cause' in the future. Thank-you so much for thinking of us. I have a few volunteers who are starting to write thank-you notes to all the wonderful people who created cards for us.....yourself included!
Thanks so much!!
Lesa"
It's obvious they are very touched by everyone who helped by sending cards. And personally, I'd like to thank everyone who gave also. Let me just say, us women and SCS ROCKS!! {hugs}
Maggie
