DESCRIPTION: Card Care Connection is devoted to enriching the lives of those affected by cancer. We work with hospitals, hospices, senior agencies, nursing homes, and individuals to identify potential recipients. This organization is designed to collect cards and care packages and send them to individuals who are faced with cancer. Our goal is that each delivery brings the recipient a brighter day. A recipient can be referred by a friend, family member, or agency representative. Self-referrals are also accepted.
TYPE OF CARDS REQUESTED: Thinking of you, have a nice day, hello, care & concern, and hopeful messages are welcome. Blank cards are also acceptable. Please try to avoid get well soon, feel better, and religious messages. Some of our recipients are terminal and it is often hard to gauge religious involvement based on individual backgrounds.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS: Do not handwrite or stamp inside the card. The inside should be blank, but the outside may include a stamped sentiment.
Sentiment examples:
You’re Special
Sending Smiles Your Way
Just for You
Happy Hello
Have a Great Day
Sending You Happy Thoughts
Wishing You a Wonderful Day
To Lift Your Spirits
Wishing You a Day Bright with Sunshine
Thinking of You
Sending You Hugs
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Please include envelopes.

In the past when I sent cards to this organization on my own, they requested I fill out a form to accompany the donated cards. Do I need to do that for these cards as well?
Since this is my first donation in response to "Cards for a Cause", should I mention I am donating these cards on behalf of Splitcoaststampers?
Kerry can probably answer you better on whether we should send in our cards as individuals or on behalf of Splitcoaststampers..... but I did find some info on their website listed above. There was a link to the packing slip that they do ask senders to enclose with their card donations.
I hope that helps!

My 10 cards are packaged and ready to go out in the post tomorrow.

Hi Val, I'm so happy you've joined this group. Kerry does a wonderful job finding a wide variety of organizations for us to donate our cards. As an aside, I do like to tell an organization that I am sending my cards as part of Splitcoast Stampers. I think some of the orgs do keep track and it probably helps Kerry if she approaches them in the future.
I hope you enjoy being here and making a difference with your cards. If you ever doubt that sending someone something as simple as a homemade card makes a big difference, you should read some of the responses that are posted in the Teapot Tuesday challenges. I have even received personal thank-you notes from some of those recipients. So keep up the good work. Hugs.
Thank you for keeping these going every month! I try to send in cards to these great causes as I am able to, so I hope to be able to send some for this one in the next few weeks.

I'm pretty new to posting and joining challenges. I found this link and decided to try to get some cards done for the cause this month. I'm shooting for 10.
Do we post pictures before we send them, or do I just add to my gallery?

Hi Kim,
Welcome to SCS and welcome to Cards for A Cause. I'm so glad you found this thread because I think it's a great cause and a wonderful way to share our talents. This "challenge" is a bit different from the others as it isn't so much a challenge as a chance to spread some paper hugs to a new organization each month. There isn't a spot to post your cards directly to this thread as there are with the other challenges, but you can link a card from your Gallery when you post here. I don't think most of the participants in this thread upload their cards, probably due to the quantity they mail out each month, but you should absolutely upload your cards to your Gallery if you want a record. Personally, I have uploaded my cards or cards when I wanted to link the picture here. I also use several of the other challenges for inspiration for some of my donation cards so they are uploaded for those challenges and I add CFAC to the keyword I think there's a Gallery with that link. It may be Cards For A Cause. I think either works, but someone here might know better and will correct me if I'm wrong.
