Default Compassionate Cards September Mission

Hi Everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read this post! I am very excited to get started with this month's mission. This month will be the Princess Margaret Hospital located in Toronto, Ontario and also Victoria Westminister Campus Hospital located in London, Ontario who helps enrich the lives of children and adults suffering with a life threatening illnesses.

It would really help boost their moral to know that a complete stranger thought about them and made them a card just for encouragement and thoughtfulness. I hope that you will join me in this important cause.

Anything that you can do to help and encourage would be much appreciated. Some ideas for the cards would be: Hello, Hi, Thinking of you, Thank you, Thinking of You, Warm Wishes, Let Your Light Shine, Smile, and Happy Birthday. Please try and send an envelope along with your card, if possible

This mission is a bit different becuase we are going to be able to write a note inside the cards. They will be going to men, women and children. If you perfer not to write anything I can put a preprinted message inside the card.

Please have your cards to me no later than September 30th.

Send them to this address:

Compassionate Cards
PO Box 1145
Gig Harbor, WA 98335

Please do not hesitate to ask questions. Thank you in advance to all that can participate! I know they will appreciate them dearly. :0) Julie.

Hi Jean- You bring up a point that I forgot to mention in my post for this month's mission. This month I was asked by the coordinator if we could write a message to the men, women and children inside the card, so please feel free to write a message. If you prefer not to write a message I can add a message in them once I receive them. Thank you for asking this question. Have a wonderful day!! XOXO, Julie. :0)

Wondering if the cards need to have a sentiment or if general cards with no sentiment may be donated to this cause?

Thank you,
Karen

Default Cards for a cause...

I am from Canada and once lived in Ontario, including near London and Toronto. I shall bundle up some cards.

Currently a sister of a friend of mine in Ontario is suffering from cancer and I've been sending a card every couple of weeks to her. I'm told by her sister (to whom I also send a card - she and the whole family suffer along side her sister) that her sister really enjoys them.

I shall just make an additional one or two and bundle them off to you.

I think this "cards for a cause" is a wonderful endeavor and I thank you for taking the time to take charge of this type of project.

I would be interested in knowing how many cards were generated for this project at the end of it.... will you post this kind of information?

Best regards to all!

I ran a bit late but tomorrow (Sept 25th) I'll get my cards to the post office. I've got a dozen to send to you. They are on the way!

Default Just Learned about this project

I just found about this challenge, but I'm hoping that if I get the cards done by this weekend I'll be able to get them in the mail first thing Monday and send them priority to speed it up.
