I’m using my own sketch this week and many of you have seen it already.
The card size is the 5.5 by 4.25”.
The panel is cut 3.75 (one half inch narrower than the card).
Measure one inch in from each bottom edge and make a mark.
Line up the corner and the mark on your cutter and make the cut.
I made a template from an old greeting card so it’s faster measuring the next time.
You can use the panel in either direction, decorative scissor edges are optional and here are two samples: Narrow bottom by Rox71 Narrow top by Rox71
BONUS FUN! Guess who has a birthday this week…that would be ME! One day sooner and I would have been a little fool!
The best part of birthdays growing up was being able to treat your friends at school…once I got past the thought of hording all that chocolate for myself!
So this year I get to treat one of you with a prize. I’ll announce the winner next week and also the way he/she is chosen but a little hint would be - the more cards you make the more chances you have to win!
The layout attachment will print out to actual A2 (4.25 x 5.5) size of the card for most computers.
To print this layout: - (nc means no color) If you see a small layout click on it or if you see an icon click on the words next to it.
-When the black surround screen appears click only on the layout and a white screen with the layout should appear.
-Right click and click on print from the pop up box or hold down your shift key and P key at the same time.
-Now you're ready to choose print and it should print to actual size of the card depending on your computer.
I made a comment on one last night and never even thought about the challenge. Must have something to do with Amber being Dawns daughter!
Not sure if I will have time to get to the challenge today! I have a workshop tonight and I have left it to the last minute as usual. But I will definetly do it this week!
Great sketch Roxie -- have some errands to run today but I'm sure I can sneak in a card or two! It'll just give me some time to think about it as I drive around town!
Woohoo. I got to the challenge right as you were posting Roxie (I am NOT a stalker, lol) and I had a house full of sleeping kids!!!! I just finished, as soon as I saw tha layout I thought of a bouquet. Boy does it feel good to do something for myself before anyone is awake. Well they are getting up now so off to being the maid, cook, driver, nurse, referee........
Love the sketch idea - will have to dust off my decorative scissors. They are in the depths of one of my crafting closets....... I hope that doesn't mean that I end up Spring Cleaning........
BTW: Your Avatar is great - Good to see your smiling face again (although your "Bad Ear Day" was pretty cute). ;)
Happy Birthday Roxie!!! I'm singing with Beth... (if you could hear me, you would plug your ears. lol!)
I love this sketch! Can't wait to play!
I'm a little on the slow side this morning. I think the pea-soup fog outside is also in my brain. It is so thick out there, that I literally can't see the houses across the street!
Fun sketch, Roxie! I'm still plugging out cards for Julia's challenge & I didn't even attempt the colors from yesterday yet. I need to do some catchin' up! Hopefully, I'll get some time to play.
THEY SAY IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY (NA NAH NANA NAH NAH!)
SING WITH ME PEOPLE!!!!
Happy Birthday ROX! Hope to find time to play today!
Thanks Beth, now that will be the song in the head for the day!
OMG! I just thought of this, Sunday I GET NEW BACKGROUND STAMPS!!!
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes...I got until Sunday until I get another year older...where did all those years go????????????
BTW...that card with the butterflies...took way to long to know how long it took to make it! LOL! But I like the end results! I found if I hold the stamp with the bleach on for ten counts it took better.
Happy Birthday Roxiel...I cannot play as I am in VA visiting my grands...hope you have a great day and I miss playing w/you gals...I will be looking at all your examples though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool Sketch. Thanks for the challenge. Of course, I don't think I have any stamps that I can use for it (LOL), like my wardrobe. I never feel like have the right clothes for an occasion that comes up and similarly I never feel like I the right stamps for the challenges. That is why I always keep buying, buying, buying. Don't know if I'll get to play today but will definitely be trying this on the weekend if not before.....Thanks again.
Great challenge Rox. I've got to finish my Easter cards today and hopefully will be able to play. Caught my kids virus and am not going my usual pace. Happy, Happy Birthday to you as well!
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY, my friend!!! Love your new avatar!!! As much as I loved your perky pooch with the droopy ears, seeing your smiling face makes me smile!
duh.. I'm dyslexic this morn... I put sc56 instead of 65!!!
Just go make an edit and correct it. You won't loose any comments but it will go through approval mode again.
I need that number changed for your chance to win my birthday treat!
Good morning everyone. This is a neat challenge Rox. Will have to see what I come up with. By the way , if your birthday was one day sooner, you would be a fool like me. Wish I could say I was one day older then you, but I can't. Will check back later to see what everybody made.
Location: Living in Kansas, but my heart is at OSU with my DS!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROX !!!!!!!!! What a great challenge. I can't wait to get started. One question though does the card open through the mider or does it open regular?
Happy Birthday Roxie! Great new avatar! I had a hunch when I saw your card posted last night that this might be the sketch. Love it! Can't wait to try. Can't wait to check out everyone's cards. Mornin fellow junkies!
I have a similar question to Pam's. Is the part that you cut just a layer on the front of a regular rectangular card which opens at the regular folded edge? Or is it a special shaped flap which *is* the part you open?
I am really new to the challenges so perhaps I would know this if I had more experience...
