Default Using themes

I have no problem giving credit on the blog ane leaving the designed by on the bottom.

The problem I have is when it also includes link to other business websites. Is it OK to remove that part or do I need to find another theme. It seems like they are on most of them and some of them are to porn sites.

If it's ok to remove where do I got to remove...I am using wordpress if it matters

Thanks

When you're using an open source/creative commons anything you need to read the readme file for each item you use. Some are ok with removing their information and some aren't. A lot of times I keep my template owner info where they originally was, down the bottom, but if there's something that I don't quite like and there's nothing in the readme about it AND I didn't remove the info from the template script itself, I usually edit and remove the link and still keep the owner/creator's name. It'll just say something like: Template created by bla bla. 95% of the time I still link up to the template creator's site. I just remove the rest of the stuff.
