Default Opinion about Wordpress/Blogger Pictures

I currently have a Wordpress blog and it has served my purposes. However, I started a photo blog and I don't like how Wordpress compresses my images...I'm losing detail.

I started a Blogger photo blog to see how the pictures compare and I see a noticeable difference. Is there a way to get better picture quality with Wordpress? I prefer Wordpress and am more familiar with it, but will switch to Blogger if I have to.

Thanks for any help!

Here are the two blogs to compare:

Hi!
I do not have the solution, but I just wanted to tell you that your photos are amazing!

I put more photos than writings on my blog, and I tried different blog services, and ended up with self-hosted Wordpress. I would think Wordpress.com has some kind of plug in as well?

Also, I don't know if you did it on purpose or not, but when you post multiple photos in one post, it shrinks the photo size by default in Wordpress. With my self hosted wordpress, I usually upload photos first and "insert" photo one by one in the post to keep it original size or have an option to link it to a bigger size.

Again, I love your photos!

Thanks, Sunghee, for your compliment! I have always loved taking pictures, but until recently haven't been very serious about it. I have a ways to go, but it was encouraging to hear your more than kind words. I didn't realize that WP shrunk my photos if I had multiple photos, that's good to know.

Gale, thanks for the help. I did try initially to use Flickr to upload but couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. I just spent some time now working on it and figured out that I have to add my blog to Flickr first. I tested it and it works! Woohoo! And the image quality is much better.

You think you finally have something figured out and then you realize you really don't know much. LOL! Thanks, guys!
