I'm wanting to create my first blog about my cards and mini albums etc and wondered do people prefer blogs to be just about the craft or do they mind personal posts, holiday pics etc. I've seen alot of both types but I'm thinking I prefer more just the crafts and make a separate personal one or by including the personal interests do you get to know the blogger.
Personally, I have mine combined. First off, I don't anticipate that crafty people will flock to my blog for some new technique that I developed! LOL I am not that creative! If papercrafting was my job...or I was a designer or something then yeah, I would do it separate.
In addition, crafting is a part of who I am, as is my family. My kid stories help people get to know me.
People can read the posts they like; they don't have to read it all. I label my posts, so you can click on SU cards and see cards with SU stuff...or Bellas...or kid stories.
The bottom line is that a blog is like a journal...the perfect way is the way YOU like it!
I have mine combined too. Just because I have a hard enough time maintaining 1 blog let along 2. lol I used to have it just as my papercrafting blog but I found as I pursued other hobbies and my life got busier I started adding more of other stuff. So now it is just a blog about all things in my world, not just paper crafts (although I still have mostly cards with the occassional other post, life, cake decorating etc.). As for the blogs I read, I read both blogs that have a mixture and ones that are just one or the other and I like reading them all.
I agree with the above poster though, do what you feel comfortable with.

I guess it would depend on the purpose of your blog. Mine is a business blog, so I don't put post about my family in it. I do have a family blog too. It is difficult to keep up with both, so if your blog is strictly for you (and not business), I'd say go ahead and combine it.
