Default CSS in Typepad

Anyone out there using CSS in Typepad to customize their blog?

I was just update to the new typepad advanced feature or server (Whatever they are calling it.). Long story short while the bugs are being worked out, I am using CSS to customize my blog.

I just want to change the background color for my posting area. This is the code, I am using. Is this right?

.layout-three-column #beta { width: 500px; background-color: #ffffff; }

Thanks in advance for your time, advice and help.

That looks about right, although I'm not sure why the class (.layout-three-column) is in front of the ID (#beta) but if that's how they set it up, then I'm sure that's fine.

As far as the attributes inside the brackets, it looks correct. I say try it out!

Thanks so much!

So far everything works accept changing the background color. I'm trying to change the background color of my post area and am having a hard time finding a work around. I hope no one gets turned off by my messy blog format.

LOL
