Question Creating a gallery within Blogger

Hi, there! I would like to create a separate page in my Blogger blog that is a gallery of images of projects. Ideally, I'd like a reader to be able to click on a picture, see it enlarged and see what materials are needed to recreate it. I know one way around this is to direct folks to my gallery here, but I'd love to try something self-contained, as well. Anyone know how to do this? Is there a good, trustworthy widget available?

Thanks in advance,

I think you can do what you are describing by going into: Design/Layout and then adding a Slideshow gadget.

You can also go into your Picasa account, create an album of the pics you want and then copy the HTML link for that album (it is found off to the right of the screen, under link to this album). You can then put the code on a separate page of your blog, and it will show up as a slideshow of the images in the album you made.

It doesn't really show an enlargement though. You could click on the slideshow, which will then take you directly to the picasa album, where you can zoom in on the pic. Also not really sure how you would tackle the project recipe part. Might have to think about that a bit more.

Good luck!

No worries Sarah!

I was thinking about the project recipe part just now. Maybe in your album if you make the first slide/image a picture of the project on its own, and then the next slide can show the picture at the top and a recipe below.....that might work (ie you'd need to create the slide JPEG in Photoshop, with a text box at the bottom and put the recipe etc in there and then save it as part of the slideshow. Might work if the resolution is good enough or the text is large enough to read.

Best wishes,
Sam.
